We got our March Little Book Club box!

This box was addressed to my daughter, A. Wondering why I don’t use their names? They have unusual ones, that’s all. Not weird mind you, just unusual. They would be searchable for all eternity.IMG_5560

The Little Book Club sends 3 books a month for $24.95 (including shipping) based on your child’s age and a monthly theme. Books are for kids 0-6 years of age and the books you receive grow with your child.

What’s inside the March Little Book Club box?

Inside was an envelope, also addressed to A. She loved that special touch! Our March theme was Imagination! IMG_5570

We found three great books inside: The Red Book, Shark v. Train, and Not a Box. I would never have selected these myself, but as you can see, they were all hits. Even better, the kids were content to “read” these books by themselves as well as have them read TO them.

One of the books, “The Red Book,” (that’s the name of the book), had no words whatsoever. Perfect for encouraging imaginative storytelling by children. It’s a Caldecott Honor Book

As we read Shark v. Train, I asked A each time who won. She loved that game!

Not a Box was perfect for my kids, because they LOVE playing with boxes. Most often it’s a rocket ship but… it can be anything!IMG_5567

Should you splurge?

The rest is just photos of my kids enjoying their book shipment. I give this box an A+ and will definitely get another one. We are due for some older books to support A’s burgeoning reading skills. However, I really appreciated the inclusion of a board book in this box – E likes the thickness of the pages.
