The theme of this month’s box was PUPSTATE ORCHARDS! BarkBox always does a great job of making the box decor and treat and toy selections fit the theme. This month’s custom paper is Fall-themed.

It’s always lots of fun! sometimes they include pop-out photo frames for taking silly shots of your dog — this time they combined it with their interior wrapping sheet.

We’re never really sure whether you are supposed to frame the shot with your dog in it, or if you are supposed to try to get him to stick his face in.

The information card came with an illustration of this month’s plush toys. The box contains on of the premium toys (selected at random), but you can get any of them in the online shop.

There’s also a recipe for Carob & Peanut Butter Mini Donut treats for your dogs!

There’s a funny comic strip-like illustration inside the box too.

And here are this month’s cute dog items!

Premium Elk Recipe Chews ($3)This elk chew is super-chewy and all-natural delight that is full of rich (and sustainable!) American elk meat for maximum flavor and fun. This is also a tummy-safe recipe that turns nutritious meat into crazy-crunchy chews, which makes ’em great for picky chewers that don’t normally enjoy tasteless tough snacks. It may be tough to chew but it’s easier to digest and best of all, it’s great for the teeth and gums of the pups!

BarkBox L.L. Bark Boots ($10) A perfect toy for a game of tug with the pups! These lovely boots bear a striking resemblance to the wares of a certain Maine outfitter.

The boots are adorned with durable, ballistic nylon toe and stuffed with fluff and a small squeaker near the top. The two boots are attached by t-shirt rope that is perfect for a game of tug or just thrashing about. It’s durable too and can stand even the hardest of the pups’ bites.

BarkBox Knitwear Heggie ($12) Another cute and fun toy for the furbabies!

This fuzzy hedgehog is super plush and squeaky.

It’s so cute, all bundled up for the cold weather with a knit hat and gloves.

Rocco & Roxie Jerky Sticks This healthy treat is great for the pups’ tummies, and it’s safe too, as it doesn’t contain wheat, corn, soy or gluten fillers.

It’s made from all-American beef, so the quality is assured. It’s a healthy, low calorie, high-protein snack and a great training reward too!

It also has a soft, natural texture that our pups love, and you can tear them fairly easily by hand.

There’s a free gift coupon on the bag of jerky sticks that is especially for Bark Box subscribers. ! We looked it up on the site, and it was a pretty name tag for your dog’s collar — but you have to pay a shipping fee.

American Hound Turkey And Cranberry Poppers Dog Treats ($12) A pack of naturally-flavored, antibiotic-free doggy treats.

Made of all-natural ingredients including fruits and vegetables.

Both Dean and Lindy loved these bite-sized treats! They are great to use as a training reward, because they are both small and pleasant smelling.

And here’s our Deanie, happy with his new toys!

Barkbox makes both pups and their humans excited and happy — the theming and box decor makes it almost as much fun for us as it is for the dogs! It is a perfect choice for dog lovers who wants a nice combination of treats and toys for their furry family members. This month’s Barkbox nailed the theme yet again, with great farm country toys and treats that the our pups can’t get enough of!
