Fit Snack curates its boxes according to the following criteria:
- Each product always containing two or more of the following: GMO-free, high in protein, low in sugar, gluten free, organic, raw, vegan and all natural.
- Plus, we add in bonus items such as energy boosters, nutritional supplements, or refreshing beverages.
- Finally, we find a little space for exclusive workouts, workout gear or other active lifestyle inspiration.
I have enjoyed FitSnack boxes – let’s see what fun is in the November box!
Here’s a look at everything in this month’s box!
DEAL: You’ll save 45% on your first box (before shipping) with this link, no coupon code required!
One side of the information card introduces the contents and provides a link to a workout challenge. This is a nice change from previous boxes where the workout was actually on the card. (The writing was sometimes pretty tiny and hard to read!) By putting it on their website, FitSnack is able to provide a much more detailed and comprehensive workout. Pretty cool!
The other side of the information card tells you a little bit about each of the products in the box (and coupon codes for most… also, the box included a few paper coupons for some of the products).
Purely Inspired Peanut Butter: OK, it’s probably weird, but I was so excited to get this product this month. I’ve been trying to up my protein intake recently and this product is perfect for that! So far, I’ve used it to add some flavor and extra protein to after-workout smoothies, but I think I’m going to try to do some baking with it too. (Oh, and I saw a recipe for peanut butter lattes on the Purely Inspired website – so trying that out!) I also love that this was a full-sized product, so I have a lot of opportunities to try new things with it!
Tickle Water: Fun to say, fun to drink! Apparently, this product was made as a soda alternative for kids. It has no sugar, no sweeteners – just flavored carbonated water. In my box was watermelon flavor. I’m a huge fan of all things carbonated water and I thought this product was tasty. It had a very pleasant flavor and just the right amount of bubbles. Plus it’s totally portable, making it great for snacks or lunch on the go.
Kracklin’ Kamut: I’ve tried Kracklin’ Kamut before. It’s a fairly tasty snack, best for when you’re craving something a little crunchy and a little salty.
Pasta Chips: I’ve also tried this snack before, and if I remember correctly, professed my love for these! So good. These are funny little chips made out of pasta. This variety is flavored with rosemary, one of my favorite seasonings. Another nice crunchy, savory snack.
ChocoRite Protein Bar: I’ll admit that I’m a little skeptical with new protein bars. Some are chemically. Some are chalky. This one, however, was actually pretty good. It doesn’t hurt that it was salted caramel flavored…and as far as I’m concerned, anything and everything should be salted caramel flavored. Yum! Anyway, this is a pretty good bar, especially considering it is sugar free and gluten free.
RawRev Bar: Who doesn’t like healthy snacks that are kind of like Mounds candy bars (or Almond Joy candy bars without the almonds…because according to my kids, no one knows what Mounds bars are)? Anyway, this tiny bar is pretty much just like that. Coconut goodness covered in chocolate and made out of stuff you’ve heard of – nuts, seeds, coconut, cocoa. Yummy, yummy!
Big Tree Farms Coconut Sugar: I’ll admit, I haven’t tried this product out yet. It’s a single serve packet of coconut sugar that is supposed to be nutritious and provide sustained energy. Unfortunately, I don’t use sugar for much – this would be perfect to toss into a cup of coffee, for example, but I drink mine black.
People’s Choice Beef Jerky: I’ve gotten to review a jerky subscription box from People’s Choice before, so I knew I was in for a treat with this item in the FitSnack box. People’s Choice jerky is delicious – old fashioned, simple jerky that really lets you taste the beef it’s made of. So good.
Smarty Pants Vitamins: And finally, some gummy vitamins. I don’t regularly take vitamins, but if I did, I would totally eat gummy vitamins. So much more pleasant that big old tablets to swallow.
Another month of delicious, good-for-you snacks from FitSnack!
