This was everything that arrived in the Paper Circuits Tinker Crate – the supplies, a fold-out instruction sheet, and the Tinker Zine.

For May, Tinkerers would be working on paper circuits!

I found the instructions clear and easy to follow. Tinker Crate also offers one on one help for kids (or parents/caregivers) that need it, plus extra tips and extension activities.

The Tinker Zine this month was, as usual, well-produced, interesting, and super informative.  They really pack a ton of great stuff into this little thing.  My daughter reads it front to back before she even bothers with the experiments.

It has (fun) educational information plus extra experiments. The magazine explains the concept of the project using accessible and easy to understand diagrams.

My daughter loves creating and inventing (and tinkering!) and Tinker Crate is really perfect for her. Her solo experiments tend to be piles of complicated “machines” that don’t really do anything, so it’s nice to have some direction from Tinker Crate to actually make a working model but still allowing creativity.  She has no trouble following the experiments and also grasping the underlying concepts about electricity, circuits, or etc.

It’s a robot with light-up eyes made with a cool circuit of copper tape on the back.  Copper tape is SERIOUSLY fun–we made a bunch of “unsanctioned” circuits with the leftover materials.  This was a super fun box!  Can’t wait to see what we get next time!
