Kids Prize Pack is a fun kids’ subscription box that centers its theme around books, toys, and activities each month. There are four age categories: Boys ages 4-8, Girls ages 4-8, Boys ages 9-12, Girls ages 9-12. The boxes range from early readers to chapter books along with age appropriate toys and collectibles.

The box was a little bulging this month so I couldn’t wait to get into it and once my boys saw that it said Kid on the outside they were right there with me waiting.  My two boys are 5 and 8 and we get the Boys 4-8 box.

The theme for August is Back to School.

The back of the info card tells of 8 great ways to celebrate the new year.  My boys go to year round school so we’ve been in for awhile now but we did a couple of these when they started back.

There was a card with a two sided comic and a magnet with this month’s theme on it.  Again for this month my youngest took the magnet right to the fridge and my older son ran off with the comic to read.

Eerie Elementary The Locker Ate Lucy ($3.82) – My boys said this looks AWESOME. They are both into scary books right now and this has a scary look so they are ready to go. My oldest says he will read it to my youngest which works great for me since they will get their reading time in all at once.  I love books that can do that.

Sam Graves’s school is ALIVE!

This series is part of Scholastic’s early chapter book line called Branches, which is aimed at newly independent readers. With easy-to-read text, high-interest content, fast-paced plots, and illustrations on every page, these books will boost reading confidence and stamina. Branches books help readers grow!

In the second book in the series, Sam Graves’s friend Lucy disappears into her locker! Sam and his friend Antonio follow a trail of clues that leads them through the locker and deep inside the school. Will they find Lucy? Will they learn why the school is ALIVE? Sam and Antonio must rescue Lucy from this scary school before it’s too late!

Star Wars Rebels Lunch Bag ($9.99) – Another great back to school item. My 5 year old loves all kinds of bags and this one already has toys in it.

Star Wars Rebels Lunchtime GoPack ($11.97) – We love these bento style boxes here and my boys take one everyday. We are going to work this one into our rotation.

Faber-Castell Grip Markers ($3.50) – I’m a huge paper crafter so my boys are always drawing and working on something. We love the Faber-Castell markers and I’m going to hide these for a bit until we need a replacement set and then I can pull them out.

Faber-Castell Erasers ($2.55) – Some people say that kids eat pencils but I would say mine eat erasers. We always seem to be at a loss for them and pencils now a day have horrible erasers. I swear they dry up and get hard way to fast to be of any use.  These are already opened and in the art cart.

kidsprize_aug2016_bouncers

Scientific Explorer Gross Glow Bouncers ($6.74) – This looks amazing and my boys love to make bouncy balls and things. We are going to keep this for a rainy day and then get messy and create some fun glow in the dark putty buddies.

Another month with a great Kids Prize Pack.  They are really good with fitting into the theme and finding items that my boys who are right in our age range will love and want to use right away.  We are all about reading so getting a new book each month is also a huge bonus since everything that comes in a box is way better then what mom can pick out.
