The contents of Urthbox June 2016.
Mrs. Thinsters Brownie Batter Cookie Thins: These are the first picture because I needed to eat them immediately. They’re so delicious, super chocolately, but not that big of a hit on your waistline!
Kize Cocoa Raw Energy Bar: A simple no sugar added chocolately bar with 10g protein! It’s just peanut butter, honey, oats, whey protein, and cocoa. I went back to eat more and was disappointed to discover I’d already eaten it all!
Primal Kitchen Dark Chocolate Almond Bar: My brain couldn’t get over the “made with grass-fed collagen” statement on the bar, and I wasn’t a fan of the taste. This bar wasn’t for me, but my husband happily ate it. Full of protein!
Outlaw Protein & Energy Coconut Pecan Mega Mini: This was a small cylindrical tube of coconut and pecan smooshed together. It made a great nutritious and protein packed breakfast, and was sweet without being overly so. I would eat this again!
Volo Vitamins Berry Energy Drink Stick: A little water additive with a nice berry flavor, b vitamins, and all sorts of minerals!
Popcorners Kettle Popped Corn Chips: I’m not a fan of kettlecorn but my kids love this item so it’s in their snack drawer!
Mauer Cashew Butter Protein Minis: I haven’t had the chance to taste this one yet but I’m really excited to try it. I love mini protein things – sometimes a whole bar is just too much!
Simply Protein Lemon Coconut Protein Bar: This is a bar loosely made up of soy protein crunchies. The lemon flavor is pretty strong when you get into it but it dissipates a bit. I really liked the coconut bits in the bar!
Unique Energy Drink: No Taurine, No Yohimbe, No Guarana, No Niacin. This drink has a blend of Exotic Red Reishi Mushroom Extract, Green Tea, and B-Complex Vitamins.
Erzo Prenatal Vitamin Biscuit: I was afraid these would be all vitaminy but they were really quite good and tasted like a bowl of oatmeal with just a touch of nutty wholegrain sweetness. Each pack of 3 contains a complete dose of the FDA levels of prenatal vitamins/minerals and they are absolutely perfect if you can’t stomach vitamins when you’re pregnant. They’re also very filling and I couldn’t eat more than one at a time for a snack!
Manitoba Harvest Hemp Heart Apple Cinnamon Bar: This bar was pretty hempy with only a midle apple cinnamon flavor with apple bits (I don’t believe there is an apple flavoring in the syrup that holds the bar together – mostly hemp seeds. I liked it, and I really like the nutritional profile with 10g protein and 10g Omega acids!
Black Forest Organic Gummy Worms: SO delightful – these are the softest gummy candies you will ever eat! All natural colors and flavors too!
Ritual Peanut & Chocolate Caffeinated Energy Snack: This went straight into my desk so my kids wouldn’t grab it – it has the caffeine of an entire cup of coffee!
I’m always happy with my UrthBox! FYI – the monthly price is a little spendy, but I find it’s a good value with a longer subscription and it’s always full of items that I either love or have never seen before, which is pretty amazing!

Very unhappy with this company and would highly recommend that others avoid it.
At the end of my six month subscription that I actually wanted, I let them know in writing that I wanted to cancel the subscription. I asked to cancel the subscription after the cut-off date, so I knew I would be receiving another six months of boxes, even though I did not want them.
I accepted this because it is posted on the website as one of their policies.
Six months later, I get another $209 charge on my credit card bill. My subscription had been auto-renewed again, though I had told them in writing that I did not want any more.
I contacted the company to tell them I had cancelled six months ago and wanted a refund. I was told they had no record of the cancellation, and asked if it was a different email address. I explained to the representative that it was originally purchased with my old email address, which had been disabled by the service provider several months prior. I was told I needed to provide a screenshot of the email where I requested cancellation. Seeing as that email address no longer exists, I cannot do that.
The representative told me that the best she could do was cancel the auto-renewal on the current subscription, so that in six months I would stop receiving boxes.
I a very dissatisfied with the “resolution” to this issue. I believe they should have taken my word that I had already cancelled the subscription six months ago, and reversed the charges and stopped sending boxes. Now I’m stuck receiving another $209 worth the boxes I don’t want, on top of the $209 I originally didn’t want, for a total loss of $418.
I feel like I’ve been conned out of over $400. I believe that if they were an honorable company, they would have reversed the charges for me and made sure the subscription would not renew. I hope they change their minds and refund my credit card, and do something to set their karma straight, such as send some boxes to the Hurricane Harvey victims.
I subscribed to Urthbox, at first I loved it. I was signed up for the vegan box but they started accidentally putting non vegan products in from time to time.. Then they sent me a drink that was over 2 years old with visible mold and I was done.
Definitely not a good experience with them either. As I’m sure you may know, good luck trying to reach a resolution to issues with your boxes. No support.
