Magnolia Post Co Summer Style Box Review & Coupon

Magnolia Post Co is a Canadian fashion styling service. Each month there are a series of collections released and you can choose a look to order — it’s not a traditional subscription where you are billed monthly.

For summer they have a special Summer Style Box, which is separate from the monthly collection! This box will contain 5-6 clothing items as well as items from their featured brands. The price of this box is $164.95 plus shipping. When you order the box you will need to provide your Pinterest style board so that your stylist will know what sort of items you like, as well as your standard measurements, preferences, etc. I had to actually log in to my Pinterest account for the first time in five years to put some stuff in it!

Entro Blouse This blouse is aaaaaaaaaalmost long enough to be a dress on me, but not quite. I wore shorts underneath it, but I think it would work well over leggings in the fall as well!

I styled it with bright wedges, a gold-toned sparrow necklace, and cutoff shorts underneath which are pretty much invisible. The buttons were gaping quite a bit, so I used fashion tape, and the lace design means it’s not a very bra-friendly shirt, either. I got around it with a strapless bra, but you could wear a nude-coloured camisole underneath to achieve a similar look.

Buttercream Striped Top ($36 CAD) Buttercream is made right here in Canada! I’m all for that. I couldn’t find this exact colour combo on their website, but I like it! It’s a relaxed fit, which I appreciate, and the stripes are something I don’t have enough of in my wardrobe — my Pinterest had a lot of stripes!

Active USA Cardigan I just love the lace design on the sleeves of this dolman cardigan! The brown is a great neutral and the fabric is really nice and soft.

Buttercream Navy Pencil Skirt ($58) This pencil skirt is adorable! It’s made of a soft knit fabric that almost feels too casual for the office, but in fact it’s really classy once you have it on! I’ll be getting mine hemmed as it’s a bit too long on me (short girl problems!) but I love the navy colour. I don’t have a hanger shot for this one because I don’t have those handy skirt-hanging ones, oops.

K’Pure All Natural Deodorant ($14 CAD) I wish I could get into this sort of deodorant. I do use Lavanila, which is relatively natural, but the thought of applying it with my fingers grosses me out! I could maybe see myself trying this right after a shower in the morning. It has a nice neutral ‘earthy’ scent.

Drops of Gratitude Bracelet ($29 CAD) This bracelet features lava stones (the four black ones) which are a porous stone that absorbs oils. The tiny bottle contains the “Happy Blend” which is mint, vanilla, and citrus — to me I only smell the spearmint. Just apply a couple drops to each lava bead, rub it in until the oil is gone, and you’re ready to go.

Cherry Blossom Card ($2.50 CAD) This card features a cherry blossom design embossed into the paper for a very cool design!

Earl Grey Lip Butter ($4.75 CAD) As a tea lover, I am loving this lip butter. It’s soft and moisturizing and smells lightly of earl grey! I really like it!

I was a little anxious about the summer style box! I’ve never had any sort of style box before, and since my tastes are pretty particular I wasn’t sure my stylist would have an easy time with it! But I can see why the pieces that were picked were chosen, because they do suit me and did go along with what I was pinning to my board. I’m really excited about the Buttercream items in particular! The bonus items were also really great, especially the bracelet which is gorgeous and unique!
