Loot Crate has voluntarily recalled the Oven mitt in the May box and now has recall information available. There have been 241 reports of burn injuries – be sure to stop using the mitt!

However, more important than providing something cool is the personal safety of our subscribers. Recently, we received reports that some of the Infinity Gauntlet Oven Mitts found in May’s POWER-themed crate could not withstand certain levels of high temperature. An unexpected and unfortunate development for one of the most powerful items in the galaxy. Based on these reports, we believe it’s possible some of the oven mitts sent in your Loot Crates may pose a safety hazard and are issuing a voluntary recall on all Infinity Gauntlet Oven Mitts. We’re deeply sorry for the inconvenience but we’ll be offering a t-shirt and Simpsons key chain to make up for it upon your submission of certain information below. Please see below for instructions on what to do with the mitts and how to claim your replacement items. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to recover the Infinity Gems either.
In order to claim your compensation you will have to submit your information via this form, along with a photograph of your destroyed oven mitt.

OK, so you have to prove you’ve been burned to get the t-shirt and key chain (since you have to provide a pic of the destroyed mitt)? Why wouldn’t they pull all of them and send replacements to everyone vs. wait until someone is actually hurt by this? “So sorry we’ve sent you something that’s caused you an injury, here’s a shirt and a cheap plastic key chain for your trouble.”
You do not have to prove you have been burned. You have to destroy the mitt and provide proof of it. Like cut it in half.
