Elizabeth & Clarke Summer 2016 Subscription Box Review + Coupon

Elizabeth & Clarke is a premium women’s clothing quarterly subscription clothing box. All versatile and beautiful blouses, shirts, and tops. When you subscribe, select 1, 2, or 3 shirts from the seasonal or classic collection. They are top quality shirts designed with fashion, ability to style, and ease of care in mind. It’s $30 for one shirt, $50 for 2, and $60 for 3 (which means it’s somewhat crazy to not just get 3, especially if you like and/or wear clothes).

All the shirts come neatly packed on cardboard inside individually sealed plastic bags.

The information sheet, which was previously a card with photos and laundering details, describes each of the seasonal tops!

Each shirt is individually bagged and boarded for ultimate protection on its way to you!

The Cadwell. 100% linen. This shirt is lightweight and great for summer, but will definitely require a camisole underneath.

You can see quite a bit of difference from the shirt in the stock photo, and that’s due to the lack of a promised liner that would make the top opaque. I dislike layering clothes unless it’s a cardigan on top, so I’ll wear it with a pair of night shorts – it’s kind of a luxurious nighty top! The cut on the arm holes is actually pretty big too making it better for wearing perhaps with a beautiful show-it-off bra (but not for work!).

The Dalton. 100% crepe de chine. This collar displays your collarbones beautifully, it’s the only adornment you need, except perhaps a beautiful cuff bracelet.

This is a very dark navy with an unusual style – it has a draped tail in the back! I love the architectural look of this piece.

I was glad that this top was really dark navy. It gave me the confidence to experiment with this unusual style while having the comfort of wearing a dark color.  I think this is a great style for when you sort of need to wear a dress but just want to wear pants. 

The Ash. Perfect summer basic, and perfectly cut – no off-kilter stripes on this piece. This is something I can really truly appreciate. How many striped shirts have you bought with uneven stripes?

The top is nice and long and ready to be styled – probably with a raffia tote! I liked the relaxed cut on this piece – while it’s not see-through the fabric is a little sheer, so having the cut slightly larger was a good choice. I felt that this top was the most perfect basic of the three.

As always I totally recommend subscribing to the 3 shirt box – for $20 per shirt the value is amazing! However, this quarter wasn’t my very favorite – I tend to not wear clothes with a lot of “fruff.” But subscribers are welcome to exchange shirts for sizing issues and if the shirt doesn’t work for you, you can always exchange it for something else in their standard Forever Collection, which is a nice benefit. Even when something doesn’t work perfectly I love the opportunity to try a totally new style!
