J, age 7, and I watched the bunnies playing tag in our yard the other day while we were working on outside pictures. They were having fun playing bunny games. It also reminded me of Vegan Cuts.

The May box looks amazing. Time to take a closer look!

Everclen Facial Toner
Everclen Facial Toner

The Everclen Facial Toner (4 oz, $14.40) is a great toner for sensitive skin! It’s free of soap, fragrance, parabens, gluten. pththalates, petroleum, colors, DEA’s, sodium lauryl sulfate, and gmos. The mist is a light, refreshing spray that can be used twice a day before moisturizing. It can also be sprayed throughout the day to refresh the skin. It felt refreshing on my neck. It has a light aloe, lavender scent. Toners are a rarity in beauty boxes. It is always great to see one in a box.

Vegan beauties rejoice! This beautiful Terre Mere Cosmetics Professional Blush Brush ($34.00) is made from 100% synthetic hair. It can be used for contouring and bringing out your natural glow. It has a nice weight to it without being too heavy. I am happy to see a brush in Vegan Cuts. Brushes are another rare item in subscription boxes.

The Granola Goat Face Serum
The Granola Goat Face Serum

No, Vegan Cuts did not lose its mind! Granola Goat is a vegan beauty line that is certified cruelty-free by PETA and Leaping Bunny. The Granola Goat The Amazing Face Serum (10 mil?, $4.00) is a superfood face serum that will leave your face looking radiant. Among the ingredients are red raspberry seed oil and sea buckthorn berry oil which are both cold pressed. Serums can be used to cleanse your face, after using toner, mixed with cleansing grains, and also on the back of your hands. It has a light scent and feels soothing on my face. I like it a lot! I also like that the company is transparent about where most of the oils are purchased. The serum is made in the USA.

Medusa Makeup

Medusa Makeup Blush Jezebel

The Medusa Makeup Blush in Jezebel (10 g, $12.00) is a light pink blush. My camera had a hard time picking up the swatch because it is light. It feels light on my skin and goes great with my new blush brush that also came in the box. Subscribers received a special surprise of bold blush, striking lip gloss, or warm bronzer. The compact is about the size of the palm of my hand. I am going to pass it along to someone else because it is made in China.

Molly Rose Grapefruit and Basil Body Scrub
Molly Rose Grapefruit and Basil Body Scrub

The Molly Rose Grapefruit Basil Body Scrub (.5 oz? $2.00) smells amazing. The zesty earthy smell comes from the peppermint, grapefruit, and basil essential oils. It’s a sea salt scrub that is more on the dry side. The size is perfect for one use. The reusable container is perfect for bringing the right amount of scrub needed for one use into the shower without worrying about contaminating the full-size scrub with water. Also, click on the link! It is the first time that I’ve seen a full size scrub packaged in a deodorant-like container. I liked the scrub a lot!

I may be using a few discounts that are offered this month!

The May box is wonderful! The value is over $64 which is excellent. I loved the products that I tried out. I am thinking about buying a full size Granola Goat serum. I liked that a blush brush was included this month and lucked out that I received a blush to go with it.  The variety is an excellent balance of makeup, body care, and skin care.

Thank you for taking the time to do this blog, I’m finding it very helpful. I recently decided to make the switch to organic hair products, I’m currently waiting on orders from Yarok, Captain Blankenship and Acure (btw, what are your opinions on these brands?). I’m now thinking about doing the same with my makeup and body/face care. I was wondering what your favorite brands/products are that you use regularly? And also I’m wondering (sorry if stupid question), why won’t you use products made in China? I’m really trying to educate myself on this whole organic thing, lol, so any help would be appreciated! 🙂

Wow! I was thinking about this post last night because I am almost out of the toner and want to order more.

Thank you for commenting! I am happy to be a part of Brandy’s blog and working with other wonderful reviewers 🙂

I feel Yarok is true to their beliefs. My hair looks its best when I use Yarok products because it brings out my waves and curls. I did have a learning curve when I first used the Feed Your Moisture Shampoo because it is a low sudsing shampoo.

Acure products are a favorite of mine. It’s a family own and operated company that is passionate about providing beauty products without chemicals associated with illness. This is important to me because I am in my 40s and have a seven-year-old. The company has stayed true to itself while growing. I can now find Acure products in my local grocery store and at Target. I tend to use their repairing shampoo and conditioner the most because it’s affordable, works well, and can be found locally.

I have not used Captain Blakenship products. It sounds promising from reading the website. The owner feels a connection to the products. I like that she doesn’t use “fragrances” which tend to be synthetic. She also uses non-gmo vitamin E which impresses me. Both show me a commitment to natural beauty. I would feel comfortable trying out Captain Blakenship products.

My top three favorite product lines are Balanced Guru, Pelle Beauty, and Acure. I like Pacifica and 100% Pure Brands the best overall when it comes to makeup.

The short answer about not using products from China – There are concerns about the toxicity in the water, air, and soil. I don’t want to apply that to my body which will absorb it. I’ve read and done a lot of research on this and feel this is the best choice for me and my body. Others will disagree which is why I try to give the best information I can about the product and do swatches when appropriate.

One of the reasons I love subscription boxes is because there are so many excellent natural brands out there that I would have never been aware of if it wasn’t for subscription boxes. Thank you for following up! I’m going to try this! I’m going to use as a morning toner. I’ve been using Pixi Glow Tonic as my nighttime toner and I love it! It’s taken most of the texture from my face!

Will you follow up with a review on that toner? It looks amazing. Great review and cute bunnies. We have bunnies all over the place right now. They are having a great time in our garden, so we just put up a lot of chicken wire.

I sure can 🙂 I will post a review of the toner here in a couple of weeks. The bunnies are loving our garden too. We had to do the same thing with our garden.

I used the toner twice a day for almost two weeks. I was a little uncertain about it because it has aloe which can bother my rosacea. My face reacted well to the toner. I noticed that my pores looked smaller causing my skin to appear younger. I also noticed that my makeup looks better on my face too. Feel free to ask questions.

Bunnies and goats oh my! I think scrubbie scrubs in a deorderant form is a good idea! Less change for the scrub to solidify and if it does its more usable than in pot form.

      I love the idea!
