UrthBox May 2016 review

UrthBox May 2016 (1)

Smartfruit Harvest Greens Detox: Add Ice or water, then blend into a smoothie or make a juice! This is definitely a unique product to try out!

Tranzend Detox Stix “A serving of Detox Stix delivers a powerful dose of natural antioxidants and health-promoting phytonutrients to your system, and will immediately boost your immune system and optimize your digestive functions.”

Admittedly the drinks Urthbox includes aren’t usually my style, but they’re interesting and a good inclusion in the box!

UrthBox May 2016 (2)

Dancing Deer Baking Co. Oatmeal Breakfast Cookie in Lemon Ginger Blueberry: I love Dancing Deer SO much! I had never heard of this breakfast cookie before.

Nature’s Bakery Gluten Free Pomegranate Fig Bar: I’m semi-obsessed with Nature’s Bakery bars and I’ve had this gluten-free fig bar another time, but not in this flavor!

I saved both of these for healthy desk breakfasts later. Eating the whole box at once probably wouldn’t be so healthy!

UrthBox May 2016 (3)

Fruit Bliss Organic French Agen Mini Plums: These are absolutely delicious and sweet prunes. And I’m not afraid to call them prunes. They’re organic and you can really taste the difference!

Inner J Maple Super Krisps Crunchy Snack Bar: This is a seed-based bar (hemp, sunflower, pumpkin, quinoa) but I have to say… I really want to try the spicy thai flavored one! Neat to have a Canadian brand in the box!

UrthBox May 2016 (4)

Buff Bake Red Velvet Protein & White Chocolate Protein Peanut Spread: We love Buff Bake, which is a flavored peanut spread packed with protein, chia, and flax, which means flavor too. I can’t even decide what to eat these flavors on – they might go right on a graham cracker! Also I just discovered they have birthday cake flavor, which I will need to try.

UrthBox May 2016 (5)

Bakery On Main Nut Crunch: Certified gluten free oats combined with cashes, almonds, pecans, and walnuts! I’ve had this brand before and they are a great gluten-free brand with really delicious flavors and excellent products – I was happy to see them in a box again!

UrthBox May 2016 (6)

Koochikoo No Sugar Cookies Blissful Chocolatey Brownie: I really wanted to like this no-sugar cookies which were chocolately, but the aftertaste from the erythritol was pretty intense. They are naturally flavored with monk fruit and stevia and they didn’t work for me (even though I eat sugar-free sweeteners of all kinds), but they probably work for someone else!

UrthBox May 2016 (7)

Mauer Sports Nutrition Classic Protein Bar in Dark Chocolate Caramel Macadamia: 70% organic Non-GMO, gluten-free, no preservatives and no refined sugar and low in sodium, it has 21g of protein. I think it’s great to see a classic protein bar like this focus on the quality of the ingredients on the natural/organic spectrum!

Punch’d Energy Natural Caffeine Gummies: Made with real fruit and natural and organic ingredients, which is a little odd!

UrthBox May 2016 (8)

Pop! Gourmet Popcorn Rogue Blue: This popcorn got put aside for my husband – I’m not personally a fan of blue cheese, but he’s excited. I think it’s great that they chose a specific creamery’s cheese instead of a generic blue cheese flavor.

UrthBox May 2016 (9)

Pumpkin Tree Organic Oat Crush in Raspberry & Blueberry: These aren’t for kids – they’re adult pouches and they are fantastic on the go. This one is like squeezy fruit with oats mixed in. I thought it was really good with yogurt!

I’m always happy with my UrthBox! FYI – the monthly price is a little spendy, but I find it’s a good value with a longer subscription and it’s always full of items that I either love or have never seen before, which is pretty amazing!
