The April Glam Bag looks like an explosion of tie-dye colors!

Here’s the backside view of the bag. This is cute for beach bag beauty products this summer.

The Ipsy theme for April is “Dream On.”

Ipsy April 2016 review

Everything in my bag for April!

Whoopsie: they forgot an item. My bag was supposed to contain a brush. I emailed Ipsy, and they responded in about 12 hours, which was good. Not so good: they asked me to check the pink mailer for the brush, which I thought was annoying because I already checked it. If you’re ever missing an item in your bag it’s worth checking and pre-empting that unnecessary exchange.

Luxie Beauty Dreamcatcher Tapered Highlighter Brush ($32) Update: Here it is! I originally included in the review the stock photo of the missing brush, which has since made its way to me. This was the first time I have ever had to deal with Ipsy customer service – and honestly, I’m impressed that I’ve never had to before. Great brush! Vegan & synthetic – and perfect for doing my contouring with!

pur-lisse Blue Lotus + White Tea Treatment Sheet Mask ($8)

pur-lisse Blue Lotus + Seaweed Treatment Sheet Mask ($8)

I love purlisse! I didn’t even realize until the spoilers that they made sheet masks! I received one of each – white tea is for nourishing and renewing not and seaweed is for soothing and balancing!

Ipsy April 2016 (5)

tarte LipSurgence Lip Creme ($12.80) The color I received was wonder. I thought the color was a lot prettier on than in the tube – and I almost never think that. The Tarte creme isn’t my personal fave because it uses mint in the formula, although it doesn’t taste too much like it.

Starlooks Cream Eye Shadow in Rose Gold ($9?) All of Starlooks “perfect size” cosmetics are about $9 so that’s what I valued this as. This was a little uneven in coverage but the color was pretty. You probably know that Starlooks has their own subscription but they have so many versions and have changed it so many times in the past few months that I can’t even keep up with it right now.

Adesse New York Infused Gel Effect Nail Lacquer ($18) I had to see what organic infused meant: the polish includes organic bamboo extract, argan and shea oils and the color is a Irina, a pretty dove grey color. It’s 5-free and vegan, too.

I sometimes wish I could block polishes because I get so many, but it’s neat to test out a totally new-to-me brand! This was a decent bag with a super high retail value of $104. I am laughing at myself saying decent – who wouldn’t want all of this for $10?

It actually sounds like an interesting idea – http://www.thewarshcloth.com/ – supposed to be strong enough to remove mascara, but not drying. I’ll have to try it and see.

I also got the blue/purple handled Luxie brush (so happy to finally get a brush that isn’t for eyeshadow!) and the Tarte lip creme in the same Wonder color. I also think the color is prettier on than in the tube. My other items were a Tula exfoliating treatment mask that says it has probiotic technology (but no list of ingredients on it), Ren Evercalm global protection day cream and Trust Fund Beauty “That Glo Tho” highlighter. The extras I got with some of the points this time are a Maxine Warsh “Warsh Cloth,” 2 em The Life Palette samples (beach life and night life look), and the em eyeliner that was evidently the gift for referring someone – so the email they sent me that said I’d be getting an em mascara was wrong and the online message was the right one. Of course, since I don’t use eyeliner. This one says it’s Chocolate Dream, so presumably brown.

I love the bag, the only thing I received similar to this was the bag and Tarte. My other items were Moroccan oil City Color highlight trio, and REN (evercalm) Day cream. I am happy with this bag and can’t wait to try the highlight and Day Cream.

I’m pretty sure your brush will be this one – http://www.luxiebeauty.com/luxie-rose-gold-tapered-highlighting-brush-522/

I got this, but mine is a purple instead of pink. It’s a pretty nice feeling brush!

I also got the same lip color, nail polish, and eye shadow, plus a weird anti-aging serum that has an odd scent… I guess they know I’m turning 30 soon and need some anti-aging products 😉

I just snatched two Ipsy bags out of my mailbox!!. I subscribe for both my daughter and myself. I pay for my daughter’s in Oregon too. I really like the bag. Very pretty. I received the Luxie highlighter brush, Moroccanoil, Tarte lip cream, and Probelle nail polish, and Nomad eye shadow. Its one of my favorite bags in awhile. Happy gal !!

The starlooks shadow was super sticky, it almost stuck my eyelid shut. I found the tarte lip creme kinda drying.

Eeeek I didn’t have that problem but I left my lid down for a while adjusting it! Did you get the brush??

I got the brush. It’s the blue/purple one. I love Luxie. I bought them (eyeshadow sets) before they started blowing up on Youtube.

I’ve always has problems with Ipsy CS. They sent me a sun tanning oil after I got diagnosed with melanoma the year prior (Ive never gone tanning–just didn’t practice regular sunscreen application). Anyway, I stated my disappointed that they’d promote tanning and they basically called it a personal problem.
