UPDATE: Ok, wow, this is the first month they’ve been super explicit about the franchises, and I have to say – good call! Now that I don’t have to guess about the franchises, how about a skip option?! 🙂 They have it for the regular monthly subscriptions (thanks Dawn!!!) but I don’t think they do for the longer subscriptions.

Just so you know Loot Crate and Level Up both have skip options. You just need to do it before they bill you. And I have learned that if you decide you can’t live without the theme you can reactivate a skip and get that month as long as it hasn’t sold out.
that’s if you’re on monthly, not if you have a multi-month subscription, unless they changed it from the other month! if it’s different, let me know!
and yes, the new actual skip thing is new – before you had to cancel and resubscribe! updating!
