Horror Block is a monthly box filled with some awesomely gruesome horror toys.  I was pretty excited with the size and weight of this box when it got here.

First look of all the box and my boys were already jumping at wanting things.

The front side of the box. I think this is a great touch and while I didn’t see if before opening the box once I did see it I was laughing.  I’m a huge Walking Dead fan so this is well known.

Everything that came in this months box.  Each month you will get 5-6 horror themed items.

The front side of the information card. I love that they took time to explain why items are in the box.

Because the regular Rue Morgue magazine was missing you can get a digital copy of Scream magazine.

Back side of the card and more explanations for the items.  There are so many exclusive items in the box which is always great as they aren’t the same items you are going to see all over the place.

Rue Morgue #6: Blood in Four Colors ($14.95) – This is a great book of a graphic history of horror comics. I’ve flipped through it so far and read a couple pages and it is really good. I love reading about the makings of things and you can see where things know have come from.  You can see how much comics have changed over the years.  I’m excited to read through the rest of it.

Carrie Film Cell Bookmark – I just realized this was a bookmark when I read the description. I thought it was cool and unique and I had to explain film to my boys but I was just going to put it on my shelf however I am going to use it as a bookmark now that I know. It can replace the one I’m currently using which is of Edward Cullen LOL.  Yes I have been using the same bookmark for years and this one will be so much more interesting when I flip open my book.

horrorblock_jan2016_keychain

Cleaver Keychain – This is a Horror Block exclusive and is really well made.  It is a keychain but could also we be used as a pendant.  I feel like so many movies have a cleaver as a weapon in them at some point and it just screams horror movie to me.

Gravestone Phone Holder – Another exclusive item to Horror Block and very funky. My son wants it for his desk as a decoration but I’m planning to use it on mine so I said he couldn’t take it just yet.  There is an indention between the hand and the gravestone so your phone will sit down in it and be propped up.

horrorblock_jan2016_Obeyshirt

Shirtpunch John Carpenter They Live T-shirt (I could not find this one on the site however others go for $19.99) – Horror Block tells us that it is John Carpenters birthday this month.  This is from his movie They Live which I have never seen but the shirt is pretty cool and makes me want to give it a watch.

horrorblock_jan2016_babyhead

Baby Eats You Alive Doll Head – The last of the exclusives in the box and this was the item my boys went crazy over. They both wanted it and it is now sitting on my sons desk just staring at him as he says.  Horror Block tells us that somewhere in every haunted home there is a creepy doll. I know I have watched way to many movies and tv shows that use a creepy doll of some kind in them and it is always a great plot point.  This little head I feel is just the right amount of creepy to actually be sat out on a desk or a shelf.

Over all I’m really happy with my first Horror Block and while I didn’t know all of the movies they are all great quality and very well curated.
