The front of the card tells you a little bit about each of the products in the box (and coupon codes for most); the back of the card features a workout — this month is “Full Body Beast Mode” and promises to help you “Get Pumped for the New Year Ahead.”  Before I tell you about the goodies in the box, let me just say this box was kind of fun for my family.  Although we eat a lot of natural food and fitness bars, we got to try a bunch of things that were new to us!

NutriBlade Premium Wheatgrass Beverage:    I’d never had wheatgrass juice before (except as part of a fruit smoothie).  Although it was lightly sweetened, I think I prefer it mixed with other things, like bananas or pears.  But if you like the taste, this is a super convenient way to get your wheatgrass juice.

Clif Bar:  Clif Bars are a staple in our house, so I was happy to see one of these in the box.  I had bought some of the Hot Chocolate flavor bars for my husband earlier – he must have enjoyed it, because he took this bar out of my Fit Snack box before I had a chance to sample it.  We use them for snacks, as well as before and during athletic events and are big fans.

Morning Sunshine Breakfast Cookie:  I’m always on the lookout for a good breakfast cookie, especially one that has protein (and gluten-free is a bonus).  I like to take them when I travel so I can avoid donuts or fast-food breakfast sandwiches.  I wondered about this breakfast cookie, the Apple Cinnamon Quinoa variety, because I thought the quinoa might be too dense, but it was actually very tasty.  Good apple cinnamon flavor, and it kept me full until lunch (or second breakfast, which is my normal eating pattern).

(Sorry about the poor quality picture here.  I snapped the pics, dug straight into the apricots, and by the time I realized I had taken a bad pic, my daughter had helpfully thrown out the trash!)

Veggie-Go’s Sweet Potato Pie:  A fruit strip for grown-ups!  Actually the manufacturer suggests they’re great for kids, if the grown-ups don’t eat them first.  I couldn’t entice my daughters to try this because they don’t like sweet potatoes, but I love them and I thought this was a pretty tasty snack.  It had a good flavor and a nice fruit strip texture.

Fruit Bliss Mini Apricots: I will admit to loving apricots.  I was so happy to see these in the box that I could barely wait until I took pictures to dig into the package of these!  Anyway – they were, as the package promises, deliciously juicy.  Not too sweet and just the right amount of chewy.  I could eat these all day.

Good Day Chocolate – Calm:  There isn’t much about chocolate that I don’t find calming, but these little candies have amino acids, vitamins, and botanicals to enhance the calming and encourage relaxing in a non-drowsy way.  They are basically a medium-sized candy coated chocolate (purple coating!) and I thought they tasted similar to other good quality candy coated chocolate pieces.  I didn’t notice any additional calming, but hey – chocolate just makes me happy.

Genesis Today Supplements:  There were two different types of supplements from Genesis Today — a package of Essential Greens Probiotics and a couple sleeves of Garcinia Cambogia.  I’m not a big supplement user, but I did really like the flavor of the Acai Blueberry drink mix.

Miracle Tree Moringa Organic Tea:  I love herbal teas, but I was unfamiliar with moringa.  NPR ran a story last year musing whether it is the “new kale”… which is kind of interesting.  Anyway, regardless of the health benefits, I enjoyed the flavor of these teas, especially the mango.  It was a nice, pleasant drink to enjoy with internet stories about moringa.

Green Guru Cross Energizer:  This product was a bonus item in the Fit Snack box.  Like I said, I’m not a big fan of supplements, but this one is stimulant-free and is supposed to “promote clean, sustained energy and help you perform at a higher level” when used prior to physical exertion.
