Ready to mingle?  Why, yes, I am!  This inscription on the top of the box made me laugh, so I had to share.  After getting over my teenage girl giggles, I saw that there was a customized product information card which included a brief description of the items I’d selected and my savings on the order.

Heart Lock It Color Safe Shampoo ($15):  This is a sulfate-free shampoo that is safe to use daily on color-treated hair.  The shampoo has a low foam formula, and does a nice job of cleaning my hair and not stripping out my color.  It has a really nice scent – a fruity/floral combination.  Thankfully, this arrived at the same time as the Custom Color box.  My sister liked the shampoo and conditioner so much when she used it to wash my hair after coloring it, that she swiped the foil packets in the box!

Love Unconditionally Color Safe Conditioner ($15):  This is an ultra-moisturizing salon quality conditioner that helps prevent color-treated hair from fading.  I have to use a little bit more of this conditioner than the shampoo during my hair care routine.  The conditioner helped to detangle my curls and was light enough that it didn’t weigh them down.  My hair felt moisturized and really soft afterwards.  Another plus, was that I saw less hair fall out during my shower – I normally lose a ton.

Medium Round Brush ($21):  This ceramic barrel brush can be used to create straight styles, smooth lengths, add volume, or set curls.  I’ve been looking to get a new vented round brush for a while.  I have a round boar bristle brush now, but wanted the vented brush to help speed up blow drying.  This brush is lightweight, and I had to adjust to the change.  But, once I got accustomed to it, I fell in love.  The brush made my pre-straightening blow-out easy and fast.  I was able to use just the brush and my blow dryer to touch up the next day and add a little volume at my crown.

Protective Cape ($10):   I have my one hair coloring t-shirt – you know, the one that has hair dye stains on the collar and shoulders and only sees the light of day when you color your hair.  Well, my tee needs to retire, so I got the cape.  This cape is water resistant and easy to clean.  It has an adjustable Velcro closure, making it able to fit most necks.  Plus, this can be used for at-home haircuts too.
