Stitch Fix December 2015 box

I absolutely loved this fix – full of warm and cozy pieces that arrived at just the right time!

Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. Your stylist will send you 5 pieces based on your profile for you to try on at home and hopefully fall in love with. There are no coupons for Stitch Fix but if you hit the jackpot and keep everything, you save 25% on your whole fix (read below for details).

Everything always comes wrapped so neatly!  It makes it really fun to open!  My husband calls this photo “the wrapped sandwich.”

Stitch Fix December 2015 style cards

Every box includes a set of styling cards with suggestions on how to wear the particular item. There’s usually a dressed up (right) and dressed down (left) version for each piece of clothing. I do wish these cards were accessible in your Stitch Fix profile. If you email them they’ll send them via PDF. Stitch Fix customer service has been super helpful lately!  I also find the styling cards very helpful. I am not a naturally good-at-fashion person and these help a LOT. Even if I don’t keep the pieces I use them as inspiration – like my own personal fashion editor!

Stitch Fix December 2015 stylist note

Here’s how Stitch Fix works: fill out your style profile! This includes style, budget, what you’re looking for, and you can get as detailed as you want with the notes to your stylist. It really really does help to provide notes to what you’re seeking, and a Pinterest board if you have one! You will be charged a $20 styling fee and shipped five items to try on at home. If you keep anything your styling fee will be applied to your order, but if you don’t, you will pay the $20 fee. This is so worth it. If you keep everything you get a 25% discount, so it pays off to be specific. You will check out and get charged through your Stitch Fix account. Return the pieces you don’t want in the prepaid mailer (free shipping!).

Stitch Fix December 2015 review

Everything in my fix – full of great textures this month (Tom calls this one “the deli platter” photo.)

Market & Spruce Lanta Open Drape Cardigan

Market & Spruce Lanta Open Drape Cardigan ($68)  I really loved the ombré knit of this purple sweater and the slouchy design! It was exactly my color and my stylist is totally right to send me anything purple. The sleeves were too long for me so I didn’t end up keep it but it was a great choice.

Le Lis Shelten Dolman Pullover Sweater

Le Lis Shelten Dolman Pullover Sweater ($58)  This is one of my favorite pieces of all time! The knit stripey pattern is perfect and I love dolman sleeves. I have worn this several times in the last couple weeks with a different look each time. It’s super versatile and I am so glad I kept it! Even my husband knew that this piece was just spot-on for me when he saw it.

Le Lis Shelten Dolman Pullover Sweater side

I would never have selected something like this out on my own! Thank you Sara J!

Daniel Rainn Waterman Split Neck Blouse

Daniel Rainn Waterman Split Neck Blouse ($68)  Gorgeous split neck tunic. It’s like a crepe fabric and perfect for work! It has 3/4 sleeves that you can roll up and button. This looked great on me and I kept it.

Renee C Malcom Dolman Sleeve Slub Knit Shirt

Renee C Malcom Dolman Sleeve Slub Knit Shirt ($48)  This is supersoft and it showed that my stylist really gets me. My impulse is always to just wear black and then accessorize with jewelry and handbags. But if I just worse black every day it wouldn’t look like I ever changed my clothes. I am always about finding pieces that make me comfortable like they’re black but aren’t actually. If you’re a black clothes person you understand completely but if not – it’s ok if you just think I am nuts!

Octavia Hayley Bird Print Infinity Scarf

Octavia Hayley Bird Print Infinity Scarf ($28)  This is what they are talking about when everyone is saying pastels are in for fall!! It’s super pretty! I get a ton of scarves in other subscriptions so this one went back but I probably would have kept it otherwise.

This was just another great box and I’ve noticed some serious improvements in weather appropriateness since last year! I think when I checked out with this fix I asked for something more blingy, and just left a stylist note to “bedazzle me,” (I am definitely not the queen of extensive stylist notes) so I’m definitely hoping for some holiday style in my next fix.  I should also mention that I did switch out my purse to last month’s cheery holiday red tote and I have been totally loving that bag! I know it’s just clothes but without Stitch Fix I would just put on repeat the same 5 shirts from the Gap and the same 3 pairs of black pants that I have always owned, so it’s really transformed me into someone that wears stylish and fashionable clothes without breaking the bank. Even though I have no item price limits all of my pieces are generally $50-$70.

Visit Stitch Fix to find out more or set up your first box! Do not forget that for a Stitch Fix fiend or someone who needs a gift of style that Stitch Fix sells gift cards, and I think it’s totally a great gift to give and to get!
