Allure Beauty Box is a beauty subscription that sends 5 deluxe samples – makeup, skin, hair, accessories, and fragrance. Samples are chosen by Allure magazine editors. The new name is confusing, because what’s now known as Allure Beauty Thrills was formerly the Allure Beauty Box. This box was formerly managed by Beauty Bar, but no more.
There’s a mini magazine in every box and it’s very editorial – the Allure editors pick every product and give tips on use and why they like it. Or why you might not. The mini-mag is exactly the same as it was before.
Everything in the box!
Avene Body Oil ($6.50) I love this brand’s products and this is a nice post-shower oil, which I tend to apply when I am still a little damp. Nice scent and makes my skin soft!
Klorane Dry Shampoo ($9) I have used this plenty of times but I won’t say no to more!
POP Beauty Kajal Pen ($10) A nice smooth eyeliner and I loved the color. Alas my best friend was here and loves purple as much as I do! I couldn’t resist passing it on!
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer ($9) One of the best primers, hands down! It really keeps your makeup from sliding and gives you a great even texture for its application.
SkinCeuticals Hydrating B5 Gel (~$8.75) I am pretty sure this is just hyaluronic acid with b5. I’m not particularly wowed by this to be honest. Subscribers received one of four SkinCeuticals products: C E Ferulic, Resveratrol B E, Hydrating B5 Gel or Blemish + Age Defense.
Illume Blackberry Absinthe Candle ($2.10) I can’t say no to a travel tin candle in a beauty box. Love it when I get one, especially Illume. This smells great and is a nice strong yet not overpowering scent!
ChapStick Total Hydration ($2.99) Chapstick has a totally natural line and this is a great conditioning lip product. So nice to get an extra! I love bonus (sponsored) products because they’re free and even if someone is paying extra to be in there, they’re still not going to send out something that they don’t like.
When I looked at and unboxed this one it wasn’t particularly exciting – no big new product discoveries at all. Still, I pretty much liked what I received and this box had a great value, around $56.

This was another good Allure box. Not super exciting but the products are nice. For $15 it’s a steal. 🙂
