Bocandy is a a monthly candy & snack subscription sending 7-10 different types of candy from around the world straight to your door! Bocandy is a very unpredictably candy subscription.  You never know what kind of candies you’ll receive and from which countries they’ll hail.

The info sheet has some background on each item, as well as a ballpark figure on the retail value.  This box had selections primarily from Bulgaria, Mexico, and Japan.

Everything in the November Box!  The box is fairly petite, but it arrives full to the top with treats.   There is usually a mix of candy bars, cake-like items, and confections.

Prestige Gyxa Nacma (Bulgaria):  This yellow cake has a layer of vanilla frosting in the middle, and a thin chocolate frosting bark — think a Ding Dong with yellow cake.

De La Rosa Paleta (Mexico):  a giant bar of marshmallow coated in thin, crackly chocolate flavored coating.

Prestige Waffi (Bulgaria):  One of the two best in the box.  Prestige is known for its light wafer bars, often covered in extremely melty dark chocolate.  That is the case here, but Waffi also has peanuts under the top coating of chocolate, and their crunch and flavor adds much more to the experience than one would expect.

Tunnock’s Milk Chocolate Mallow (Scotland):  Our mallow took a bit of a bump somewhere along the way.  Despite the cracked shell (which held fast due to the sticky nature of the filling), this was one of the two best items in the box.  It is essentially a self-contained S’More, consisting of a graham cracker tasting disk, with a  cake-like cookie texture.  Atop that is a very gooey marshmallow filling, and the whole thing is coated in milk chocolate — this coating is more a coating of chocolate than the chocolate flavored coating on the other items.

Pelon Pelo Rico (Mexico):  An injector tube filled with tamarind-flavored syrup.

Vero Elotes (Mexico):  Strawberry lollipop coated in chili.  I think the combination is supposed to mimic the flavor of corn on the cob.

The tamarind syrup extruder and the corn-on-the-cob shaped pop.

Marukawa Bubble Gum (Japan):  Little round pieces of bubble gum in grape, orange, and melon (honeydew and cantaloupe medley) flavors.

Kosugai Flower Kiss Candy (Japan):  These hard candies are all the same, but they come in differently decorated flower them wrappers.  We received these in place of the Pastel candies from Korea listed on the card.

Cheesecake KitKat (Japan):  A couple of these made their way into the box as a bonus!  They have a great, slightly tart NY cheesecake flavor.  Some folks have been known to put them in a toaster oven for added indulgence.

Bocandy is a good all-around candy subscription.  There is no theme or geographic anchor, so you never know what you will get.  Past boxes have each had an assortment of bar candies, hard candies, and mint/gum-type candies.
