Bombfell is a men’s clothing and personal styling subscription service. You get sent the clothing, can try it on at home, and then figure out what you love and want to purchase. It’s an excellent service for a busy guy.
Everything arrives neatly packaged. When shipped in a box, everything typically comes separately bagged to keep it nice. Every package comes with a return label. The idea is you keep only what you love — usually you end up with 1-3 of the pieces (depending how many you order) finding a home in your closet.
This month I went for one “surprise me” item. Toscano Firenze Double Collar Crew Neck Sweater ($100)
I really like the styling on this sweater. It is super-light, almost sheet, but the ribbed double collar and the cuffed sleeves give it a thicker, more substantial appearance. It is a great sweater to wear all-day inside (without overheating) or layered with a sport coat because of its thinness.
This pic has the best representation of the color, a deep grape color. The collar has nice detail, with the inner and outer collar both ribbed and sewn together to avoid “flopping” of the outer one. A white pinstripe goes 5/6th of the way around the outside of the outer collar, and a wine-colored stripe rings the interior. The fit is comfy, and it is stretchy while holding its shape.
