Birchbox Man October 2015 Subscription Box Review & Coupon

The October 2015 Birchbox Man was themed “Peak Performance,” featuring items to give you a much-needed tune-up.  Birchbox Man is a monthly grooming and lifestyle subscription for men. You’ll receive 3-4 samples, plus a lifestyle item. Boxes are $20 per month and you’ll earn points for reviewing the items in the box. You can earn 110 points ($11 in the shop) for picking up a yearly subscription. This is a great deal.

The information card no longer gives the details on each item, and it looks like this mode is here to stay.  See your box at birchbox.com/mybox.  Subscribers are given a sample choice opportunity via email.  I can’t recall if we remembered to select an item this month — I may have, since I received what would have been my choice anyway.

CW BEGGS AND SONS Face Wash($1.37):  Soap has no place on your sink ledge. Swap out your harsh cleanser for this lightweight foam, which protects skin’s natural lipid barrier, so it seals in moisture instead of stripping it away. Its gentle formula even includes menthol for that minty, just-cleaned kick—no soap required.

Clinique for Men Oil Control Mattifying Moisturizer ($3.90):  Controlling shine is not about banishing moisture, but replenishing it without oil. This formula delivers: Water and glycerin hydrate, and caffeine—a natural antioxidant—energizes skin and fights free radicals. With soothing algae, Japanese knotweed, and cucumber extract, it leaves skin matte and happy.

Glove.ly Touchscreen Gloves ($20):  These light gloves are great for keeping your hands from completely freezing, while maintaining lots of dexterity.  The silver thread woven throughout works with your touchscreen, so you can use your phone without losing fingers this winter.  The little victory/peace sign is a tiny magnet, so your gloves stick together when not being worn — not strong enough to stick you to a lamppost, but a great help in keeping the gloves paired.

As always, Birchbox Man is a great deal, offering value well above the subscription price.
