Terra Bella Box Review – September 2015 – Natural Beauty Subscription Box

Terra Bella Box is a new monthly beauty subscription box featuring all-natural products! In every box are 5-6 natural products like soaps, bath products, body products, lotions, fragrances, cosmetics, and more. Terra Bella Box also offers a “Lite” subscription with just 2-3 products! All the products are small-batch produced by local businesses! Terra Bella Box focuses on variety, so you won’t receive a drawerful of mascara, but instead get a rotating variety of products to replace or enhance your existing regime.

The packaging is super cute!

Olivu 426 Travel Perfume Sprayer – Vanilla Sandalwood ($5) This is a nice size sprayer of Vanilla Sandalwood scented perfume. The scent is quite nice, though a little on the “crunchy” side when applied although it settles down quite a bit! This item came with a card on this company’s quite tragic start. While the story was sad, it was pretty clear that the owner is quite devoted to creating healing, non-harmful, and affordable products. I would have liked to know a bit more about the fragrance blends/ingredients for this product.

Salacia Salts Exfoliating Bar Soap – Shoreline Soap ($10) This all natural bar is gorgeous, love the packaging, and it’s made with pure Atlantic sea salt! This smells fresh and salty and I’m sure will be great on sore limbs. It includes 5 natural oils, shea butter, fragrance oils, and of course, salt! Subscribers received one of three scents: this one, a rosemary version, or seersucker. This is a Savannah company and I really want to try their Southern Pecan scented products!

Robbins Essentials Goat’s Milk & Honey Lotion in Oatmeal & Honey ($7.50) OMG WOW! This has a light fluffy texture and smells like caramel corn. I believe Terra Bella Box is (finally!) the first box that has scent a “fall” scent in a September box.  It’s made with fresh goat’s milk, manuka honey, essential oils, pumpkin seed oil, and Neodefend, which is an ECOCERT certified organics approved preservative derived from non-GMO corn mixed with naturally-derived chemicals. I didn’t love this on my hands if I had to type right away, but it’s perfect for body. And smells super yum! The essential oils they use are either certified organic, or are organic but cannot be certified, or they are wildcrafted.

Wellsmith Refreshing Bath Bombs in Green Tea/Aloe, and Lavender/Vanilla ($6) Bath Bombs are always a fun item! One is sort of invigorating and refreshing and the other is calming and soothing.  I usually let my kids use them because they enjoy them so much, so I think I’ll keep the green tea for me and let them have a nice calming (and fun!) bath with the bedtime scented one.

Herbanluxe Cosmetics Vegan Handmade Mascara in black ($11.99) This product has been in Glamour Magazine and is vegan, gluten-free, and most everything free! This should be fantastic for sensitive eyes. It’s a fantastic product with a great brush, and I have to say that I was impressed! I liked the sticker too. MWAH.

This was an excellent natural beauty box, and I really loved that Terra Bella curated five completely new to me products! I think they’re off to an excellent start! The total value was over $40 – so no huge savings, but I didn’t expect that in a handmade natural beauty box either.  I personally think that discovering the products, not shopping for them, is the most fun so I really truly enjoyed this box (and also – I didn’t have to pay shipping from 5 independent shops).  This one was a winner – and also, I cannot stop smelling myself! That lotion smells crazy good!
