Power Up Box is a monthly subscription with geek, gamer, and pop culture collectibles and gear. Get an epic box every month with a “Christmas morning, gift opening experience,” 12 times a year! You can choose the premium box (6-9 items) or the deluxe box (4-6 items) and both boxes include a shirt in your opening experience. FYI I have heard from readers that you really should go for the premium box (which this box is). Power Up Box features Funko Vinyl Figures in most of their boxes, which is exciting for us, because we have one huge 4 year old fan. Funko items include Funko Pop!, Mystery Minis, and Dorbz!
The inside of the box lid says “This is a test if you can read this all the way down to here please refer a friend. Thanks!” FYI they have a new referral program!
All the items in the July 2015 Premium Power Up Box.
Avengers Age of Ultron Card Deck ($7.58)
Candy Shot Glass – Lemon-Lime Flavor ($3.57) There’s usually a candy item in every box, and this month it was a shot glass, which was cute.
I will probably end up using this as gingerbread house decor at Christmas because I’m not a big liquor drinker any more but I bet it would be good to flavor up some vodka! Or Sprite!
Marvel Avengers Assemble Captain America Plushie ($8?) I don’t even know what to call this, but he’s cute! He has a little frown on him that makes him pretty funny! After taking a look at the manufacturer’s website, I think they make toys for novelties and carnivals (i.e., this is something you would get in a claw grabber machine?).
Marvel Captain America Shirt ($15) My husband went wild over this Roy Lichtenstein-style shirt! It’s got a great design, great quality, and is a Marvel shirt!
DC Comics JLA Justice League of America #1 ($5.99) I loved the quality of this comic – I don’t know if I’ve ever received a DC comic in a box before but their covers are much nicer than the others. This particular one has non-exclusive variant covers, so probably everyone received this cover, but 1 in 100 get a special fold-out cover. I hope someone got one! And realizes what it is!
Marvel Deadpool Projector Keychain ($7.43) I know Deadpool fans are always itching for more Deadpool in subscriptions, and here it is!
My kids took off with this one immediately but I managed to grab it for a shot at the projection, which turns out quite well!
Batman Two-Piece Dog Tag Necklace ($8.99) If Batman were going to war, I guess this is what he’d wear!
Funko Wacky Wobbler Bobble-head – Ant-Man ($12.99) This just came out. As in they probably waited for the shipment, packed them in the boxes, and got them out in the knick of time. I believe that this figure didn’t even make the release date of the movie. I think it’s awesome to get a new release in a box like this! Power Up Box has some sort of special deal with Funko and there are Funko products in about 10 out of 12 Premium boxes.
The front of the box doesn’t say Funko, but it is. This one is all about Ant-Man and Marvel I guess!
So much detail on this guy!!
I have liked this subscription since their first box and to me, they seem to be getting more amazing with every box. We love the curation and the items they select – and I’ve never gotten anything weird or a fake import. I thought the July box was really excellent and we’re really excited to add the Ant-Man bobblehead to our collection!
