geek me box july 2015 boxGeek Me Box is a mystery geek and gamer box, with 5-8 items and an epic shirt guaranteed monthly. They don’t have a lot of marketing around this box and don’t always have a theme, but what we’ve seen, we like! It’s the best kept secret of geek & gamer subscription boxes right now.

The July theme was Arkham Asylum. This month had both an information card and outside box branding.

Arkham Is The New Black T-shirt ($15) geek me box july 2015 comic

The Monsters of Jimmy Crumb ($9.99)

WHAT IT’S ABOUT: Everything changed when eight-year-old Jimmy Crumb’s childhood was stolen from him. Now Jimmy can’t throw a baseball, but he understands the rules of the urban legend monsters exquisitely and can make them murder for him. He has a hard time with math, but he can draw you a map of the regions of hell.

Jimmy uses these skills to brutally exact revenge while pretending there’s still a normal child inside him. Only his friends, teachers, and the police are starting to catch on. Starting to realize Jimmy might be a monster himself.

It will be up to Jimmy whether he can cling to what’s left of his humanity or if he becomes one of the very urban legends he’s been using.

Our coins and medallions are designed and minted by Osborne Coinage in Cincinnati, Ohio. It’s a beautiful coin!

Pac-Man Cherry Sours Tin ($3.98)

Growz Snoopy Grow Toy ($3.99)

These are fun bonus items but they didn’t impress me much – probably because I didn’t enjoy the other items. Now I’ve received a Pac-Man arcade game tin, an actual Pac-Man, plus a Super Mario Cube – all in about 6 weeks time. Rest assured boxes, I think we’ve exhausted that universe of candy in a tin.

Last month’s box was so amazing and I have thought that this is the most underrated geek box on the market. I don’t know what happened this month. If you’re into comics and RPGing, I’m sure you would have loved it. Those aren’t my “things” so I didn’t, though I will say that the value was $55, so that was pleasing. The last day to sign up for the August box is likely August 12, and the theme is still a mystery. I’ll keep this box for one more month and decide how I feel about it next month!
