The information card details the techniques you’ll learn, the included supplies, and other typical household supplies you will need. The card described the cyanotype printing process, which is printing with sunlight!

Extension ideas are included with the instructions – but fewer this month as there were two involved projects.

The kids made their own transparencies, as well as collaged together a few of the pre-made designs.

We don’t have any photos of the stuff in process, but here’s the results, after hanging them up to dry on the included line and clothesline clip!. They were ok, but the paper curled up so too much got exposed. We have some extra paper, so I think we’ll try it again sometime.

The second project was to make a photo album out of the finished product!IMG_6028

I’m not sure what we did wrong here, but obviously our results weren’t great this month. The kids had a ton of fun creating their transparencies though, and watching the designs change color, but one of the reasons we love this subscription is that we always get a really nice finished product, and that didn’t happen this month. To be honest, I’m not sure I’d consider the finished product a keeper, even if it did turn out right. One dud out of many great ones is still a pretty good track record. The previous boxes were our two favorites so far, so I’m still looking forward to next month! Did yours turn out better?
