Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. Your stylist will send you 5 pieces based on your profile for you to try on at home and hopefully fall in love with. There are no coupons for Stitch Fix but if you hit the jackpot and keep everything, you save 25% on your whole fix (read below for details).
Every box includes a set of styling cards with suggestions on how to wear the particular item. There’s usually a dressed up (right) and dressed down (left) version for each piece of clothing. I do wish these cards were accessible in your Stitch Fix profile. If you email them they’ll send them via PDF. Stitch Fix customer service has been super helpful lately!
Here’s how Stitch Fix works: fill out your style profile! This includes style, budget, what you’re looking for, and you can get as detailed as you want with the notes to your stylist. It really really does help to provide notes to what you’re seeking, and a Pinterest board if you have one! You will be charged a $20 styling fee and shipped five items to try on at home. If you keep anything your styling fee will be applied to your order, but if you don’t, you will pay the $20 fee. This is so worth it. If you keep everything you get a 25% discount, so it pays off to be specific. You will check out and get charged through your Stitch Fix account.
Street Level Erik Striped Tote Bag ($58) This was a cute nautical inspired bag, and I considered keeping it because I liked the style, but ultimately I decided it wasn’t perfect. I’m glad I didn’t keep it because I ended up getting a blue & white striped tote in my Popsugar Must Have Summer 2015 Special Edition Box! I do think this was a nice size and a good style and if you missed out on this box, this is a nice consolation prize!
Pink Martini Indira Dress ($88) This dress is amazing and super cute! I love the pattern – it’s wild and perfect in a feminine and modern way! It’s great for the summer and still looks polished all day.
The back is a V but still bra-friendly!
And it’s got pockets!
Skies are Blue Camino V-Neck Top ($44) This doesn’t look great on the mannequin, but this is a great top, and super comfy and cool, plus it’s my fave color! I kept this one! It has some tiny pleats under the yoke in the back.
Collective Concepts Simpson Halter Blouse ($58) I rillyrillyrilly wanted to keep this top, because I love the pattern. But I’m straight up a need a bra kind of lady until those girls get lifted, so I passed. I also cannot wear a bra and have the straps hang out. Cannot. It made me really sad to return this. I am the kind of person who wishes she could wear this. I hope you can!
Smash Rikki Bird Print Dress ($68) I also got a bird print in my box last month, and the birds just don’t do anything for me. I was on the fence about this one because the style was good and I would wear it and it’s great for work, but I just don’t like the birds! I requested no more bird patterns from my stylist!
The prices for Stitch Fix have been very reasonable, even though I don’t place any limitation on them for my pieces. (I would rather have one perfect piece for me than a bunch of ok ones). I loved the pieces in this fix, but I also have to be honest and some of them didn’t work for my bra demands!

I always been jealous of girls able to wear a cute top without a bra they seem to have so much freedom..lol
I look horrible in strapless bras and my breasts are bottom heavy. Anyway. I totally agree that the “put a bird on it” movement has gone far enough.
bahahah put a bird on it. i like critter prints but i like cutesy ones. i’m a 23 year old stuck in a 37 year old woman’s body.
i am planning to get the girls lifted after i finish losing weight. and by then, probably mildly enhanced, because they’ll be like 2 sad flaps hanging there.
i think the only women that look good in all the non-standard bras are the ones that really don’t need them and the ones with artificial ones. bless everyone else that doesn’t fit into those categories and looks decent in a strapless.
I do like critter prints in note pads, sticky notes, stationary and even things like wallets. I have a fox print tee a wear a lot. I really like all the coffee cups that say “Fox it” or something similar, but I use a larger coffee cup. I would love to have that in a graphic tee, but my 10-year-old would totally get that now. I tend not to wear small, repeating prints of any kind. I think they make me look larger. I do make exceptions for polka dots on top. I can’t help myself. I better let you work! 🙂 We had a good appointment yesterday and a new treatment plan for gma. Hopeful.
Could you do a strapless bra with the tank? Even though I don’t have much need LOL I still can’t go braless and I can’t have straps show either. It is a major pet peeve of mine and bugs me to no end when I see them. I do own a couple strapless that I like and will wear with things like this through.
nope, mine are top heavy. i cannot do a strapless bra, it looks like i’ve rolled up an udder. besides, that tank got sent back about a week ago!
