Geek Me Box is a mystery geek and gamer box, with 5-8 items and an epic shirt guaranteed monthly. They don’t have a lot of marketing around this box and don’t always have a theme, but what we’ve seen, we like! It’s the best kept secret of geek & gamer subscription boxes right now.
The June theme was … no theme as far as I know, but there was a Wolverine spoiler! We were super happy to see the addition of an information card to this subscription (but this month, no branding on the outside box). If I have to choose one, I choose this!
Everything in the June 2015 Geek Me Box. This was a pretty awesome haul — it came with two vinyl figures, a novella-length hardcover Wolverine tome, as well as the monthly “epic shirt.”
Funko POP! Thundercats Classic Mumm-Ra ($10.79): The classic villain is a full-size Funko, and much cuter than the cartoon version, I might add.
I Will Not Fail This City T-Shirt By Ryan Astle ($15): With a bold two-tone green design, this month’s epic tee features the Green Arrow (current TV version).
kidrobot x South Park The Stick of Truth Figure – The Grand Wizard/Cartman ($9.99): Sweet. It’s not Princess Kenny, but it’s pretty awesome. Smaller than a Funko, it stands a couple inches tall, but is perfectly sized to wander amongst your office plants discussing betrayal…
Marvel’s The World According to Wolverine ($20.29): At around 60 pages in length, this glossy page hardback tells Patch’s story in his own words, dishing out life advice from a guy who’s nothing if not resilient.
This is really a cool book – it’s in a scrapbook style including ephemera attached to the pages.
Rare Elements upcoming Kickstar campaign (see previous one here): Just an announcement, not a coupon or anything. Rare Elements Foundry creates fantasy-inspired coins for use with table-top role playing games. The coins are minted in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the Osborne Coinage using the same materials as are used for currency.
Zotz Fizz Power Candy: These have been around since ’68. Well, not these particular candies, I hope. Enjoy the PopRocks-esque charm and nostalgia of these bubbly hard candies.
The last day to sign up for the July box is likely July 12, and the theme is still a mystery – but it is their anniversary box. We haven’t been disappointed at all in this subscription and are really enjoying it.
