Golden Tote is a monthly fashion grab bag – Get new pieces monthly that are fashionable, seasonable, and affordable. When you pick the $149 tote you select two pieces and then you get 5-7 pieces with a total value of up to $600! When you get the $49 tote you pick one item and get 2 (or sometimes 3). Unlike regular subscriptions you have to purchase it every month, but you can return it (the whole thing or none of it).
Because of the website troubles I ended up with two identical surprise items. They were happy to contact me to charge me for the mistaken free accessories I ordered, but didn’t bother to honor my request for a different surprise item. Because I’m not a huge fan of the rest of this tote, I’ll probably return it.
Chevron Maxi – I love this maxi! The pattern is fab and retro but I’m terrible and only notice things like not bra friendly after I get it. So basically I don’t $149 love this maxi.
This shirt is blah at best for me. It’s just kind of boring.
I know some people liked this dress, but for me it’s not bra friendly (which is in my profile), and opens to my belly button it feels like. This is not wearable for me except as a nightgown. And even then you’re always falling out. I would need a boob job to wear this dress.
This is a nice little topper and fit well with my profile selections. I liked how I could wear this with the dress!
I just don’t like this top at all. Reminds me of the roller rink!
I do like that it covers le behind!
The extra accessories I ordered arrived in a nice little box!
I ordered the elephant bracelet stack plus the elephant necklace (second only to pineapples right now!). I love the accessories and they were fairly inexpensive. However, I’m also fairly certain I’ll be returning this set. I didn’t like a single surprise item and with the double chosen item, I can just do without the whole thing. Shipping was free on this box, and I’ll have to pay to send it back, but that’s ok. Sometimes I just get a funny tote and I’m fine with returning it.

I’m not sure if you were saying you were returning the bracelet & necklace because you are returning your tote, but if the jewelry was a boutique purchase and not part of your tote, you don’t have to return it. I had to verify with Golden Tote myself, because I bought a tote and a necklace. But they told me I only had to return the all the items in the tote. 🙂
Oh no, sorry if I was confusing! I returned the tote (it’s out in today’s mail) but not my precious elephants! They had a bug that caused my accessories items to be free (I had actually purchased more but they didn’t show up in the final cart) and contacted me for payment on those, but didn’t fix the double chosen (which I requested in the same 2 sentence email I responded to their request in). I thought that was frankly crappy.
Ah! That is pretty crappy. I got the sheep necklace and was pretty excited to not have to return it. Speaking of bra friendly – this was my first Golden Tote and I knew it was a huge gamble…but holy moly…they are not meant for larger chest sizes.
i’ve noticed a lot of totes where the profile hasn’t even been looked at it seems. It makes me wonder what the point of it is if they aren’t going to send bra friendly things.
