April 2015 1Up Box Gamer Subscription Review + Coupon

April is Hero month at 1 Up! 1 Up Box is a geek and gamer subscription box. They describe themselves as offering something remarkable, something creative, and something unique in which all geeks and gamers can fancy. Each month, receive 4-6 items including gear, snacks, toys, art, and just about anything that spells awesome.

This was only the second box in my subscription, and I have to say, I was surprised to see a Funko Pop in it! They are pretty new and I just didn’t expect it, though when I checked out their site tonight it clearly shows that past boxes have included them. But it was a great surprise for me.

The information card is slightly different than most, but still contains all the items.

Hero Super Key Cover ($3) We gifted last month’s key cover to our resident 13 year old reviewer (and let me tell you, it went right on her lanyard, she knew exactly what it was and loved it!). This one is totally awesome because it’s obviously Superman-inspired! I do hope there’s not one every month though? Because that would get a bit old. Two variations went out – the other was Batman.

Hero 1UP Box Iron On Patch

Marvel Spiderman Air Freshener ($4)

I have a growing iron on patch collection and I’m not 100% sure yet what to do with them. If you have any ideas, let me know! The air freshener is already in our car. Dad and kid #2 are fans!

Button – Mushroom Signal

Legendary Hero/Triforce Necklace ($6) This is an awesome unisex necklace, and it’s of course the Zelda Triforce!

I love any box that kicks it back to Zelda – of course anyone right around my age has that as their original video game love!

Up Box Exclusive Mushroom Signal T-Shirt ($15) This is silly and fun. We get our shirt for this box in a kids’ size and this will be perfect for them!

Captain America Funko POP! ($9) You really can’t get better than Captain America. Perfect for this month, he’s the ultimate American superhero!

This was another great box and I’m really looking forward to the May box! I’ve already posted the May 1UP Box Theme Spoiler – Sidekicks! The value of this box was about $37, so almost double what you pay for the box.
