Ok, ok, I’ll say more. This was my sample selection and I’m so happy I chose it. I’ve sampled other lip & cheek tints that are either too hard or too runny or too oily. This friends – is just right. Paraben-free, it’s full-size worthy!
This definitely wasn’t my fave month product wise (there’s only a few brands of hair products I get super pumped about). BUT, I got something for my beaver collection, a nice scent, a gift for one of the kids, and discovered a fab new product that I love. I got 50 points for reviewing my items so I was happy with this. What I didn’t get – the add-on items for an extra $20. There were issues with my order, whoops. This subscription happened to be a gift order so that starts next month.
The Birchbox Beta Upgraded Box items for April were a Lord & Berry Mascara ($23) and a Smith & Cult Nail Lacquer ($18). My thoughts on this trial program? It’s really not worth it. The products haven’t been wow products at all and that $20 can go to another beauty subscription box or a different subscription entirely. Or Sephora. Or a Birchbox Limited Edition box. I’m sure some women will enjoy these upgrades but I think they fall short of expectations!

I received the beta upgraded box as well. I am okay about the polish, but not the mascara. I really hoped Birchbox would try to wow the people who purchased this upgrade. I think I will try it for another month.

You’re so sweet Erin! I will make sure to get the upgraded box next month and actually test the products and report in. If they were somehow super fabulous finds I could see this working, but mascara and nail polish? I wasn’t wowed!
