Koala Crate Review – “Friends & Feelings” – Preschooler Subscription Box

Koala Crate is a monthly subscription box from KiwiCo for preschoolers ages 3 to 4. Koala Crate was created to encourage hands-on learning and fun. Activities are designed to be developmentally appropriate and enriching while also engaging, fun, and universally appealing.

A Koala Crate box comes with a variety of supplies to create a project, perform activities, and fun games.

There are two books that will come in your Koala Crate. The first is the instructions & inspiration book. This gives an overview of all the items in the crate, the 3 primary activities, and the messiness level and required grownup assistance needed.

Every activity tells you the required materials, engagement questions to ask your child, step by step instructions, and play ideas.

Imagine! magazine is “a play and learn magazine” made for you and your preschooler to explore together. My son loves it!

There’s a fun story to help introduce your child to the theme of the box.

A movement activity and poem/story.

Plus a variety of finding activities and other games.

Feelings Puppets & Funny Face Game – Two of the activities involved the feelings puppets. E made the puppets (with dad’s help) and practiced expressing his feelings. We hung up the chart – he has some speech articulation problems and sometimes we don’t know what he’s trying to say. This was super helpful for us.

I think he made adorable faces!

He loves everything in the magazine.

Friendship Bracelets – The box came with everything to make Friendship bracelets. Make the beads out of clay, let them air dry, and then string them on. E was so proud of these and of course he gave one to his sister!
