Gwynnie Bee is a clothing rental subscription service for sizes 10-32. The clothes are plus sized from Medium to 5X but most of them are available in sizes XL or 1X to 3X. If the other clothing boxes don’t work for you, this is your box, especially because it’s totally free for 30 days right now.  I got my latest shipment the other week and just set everything to send back today. Can I tell you how much fun it is to wear something and send it back so I don’t have to do the laundry? Totally fun!

How it works: Check out the Gwynnie Bee items, pick the clothes you’re interested in, put them in your Gwynnie Bee closet, and they’ll send you your items (it works just like old school Netflix!). When you’re done, return them in the mailer bag and get new ones. You can also purchase the clothing in your closet. You can filter all the selections by style, size, color, etc. I particularly love the Style Advisor – it will tell you clothing you may be interested in “closeting.”  You don’t get things in order – your pieces are shipped to you in order of availability so you have new clothes to try right away.

Carmakoma Combin Dress – This one had really mixed reviews (Gwynnie Bee has a fantastic user community and just about everyone will give their feedback on the pieces they receive, which is wonderful). I generally liked the style and the cut. This was a good winter work dress for me.

I get lots of compliments when I wear my GB clothes. Probably because they are different than my ratty post maternity schlub wear that I tend to wear too often.

Three Dots Slub Blouson Dress in Plum Oasis – This got terrible reviews because of the color, which I thought was pretty. I tended to agree with the reviews that complained that the dress left nothing to the imagination and wore it with a big duster cardigan.

X2 Barker Top – I have to admit, I took this top out of the bag and hung it on the hanger and asked myself Brandy what are you thinking? Like the pleather edging was soo not me! But it looked great on. I wore it with pants, it was maybe an inch shorter than dress length on me, underneath a fuzzy Golden Tote cardigan.

I also received an additional dress that I’d forgotten to remove an extra size I’d closeted. Be on top of your closet so you don’t waste a piece like I did. This subscription is pretty wonderful – access to lots of designer clothes that I’m not interested in spending the big bucks on, no laundry (or dry cleaning), and I have definitely discovered some new brands and been able to try some that I couldn’t afford (or wouldn’t spend the money on! 3 dots!).  I used the return feature on my account to let them know my items were on their way home and to prepare my next shipment. I recommend using (but not abusing) that feature for sure.

Currently when you sign up for Gwynnie Bee you can get your first month for FREE, which is an awesome way to just try it out and see if you love it.
