Scentbird is a monthly perfume and fragrance decanting subscription. With Scentbird you get a thirty day supply of perfume every month. When you start with Scentbird you fill out a profile – including three of your favorite designer perfumes – then you make a wishlist of perfumes you’d like to try.

IMG_9554 Your first month will include a little perfume vial case and velvet holder. Scentbird decants the perfume from the manufacturer’s bottle to a little glass vial that fits in the sprayer. The perfumes are 100% authentic.

There was a contest to post your perfume to instagram this month!

A card comes with the vial demonstrating its use. You just twist it to spray!

My “January” perfume was sent February 2015. I didn’t understand that at all, so I asked Scentbird! They said it was just because I signed up after the 5th of the month, so my perfume got shipped the next month. I hope they switch it so the perfumes match the months in which they are shipped. That’s minor, because the service otherwise works flawlessly.

I picked Anna Sui’s Forbidden Affair. This was kind of humorous because the March perfume of the month is Anna Sui’s La Vie de Boheme – you’ll always get a card telling you about the highlighted scent for the following month.  I think it’s very similar to the one I selected.  This one has a beautiful bottle (you can see it above), but I really wanted to sample it before I bought a bottle.  This is an eau de toilette, and only available as such.

My fragranc had notes of Lemon, Red Currant, Black Currant, Raspberry, Rose Petal Accord, Pomegranate, Violet, Cedar wood, Musk and it really is a fun fresh party scent. I love Scentbird‘s graphic categories – they have really helped me select new scents to try!

A 10ml rollerball of Anna Sui’s Forbidden Love sells for $18, so the value of this vial is $14.40, which is right on target. This is a lot of perfume and enough to apply twice daily for 30 days. If you’d like to subscribe, take 15% off of the first month when you use promo code SPRINGBIRD.
