Plated is a meal subscription service – you get the ingredients, menus, and cook everything yourself. We really enjoy Plated because it makes restaurant quality meals for us super easy! You can see multiple weeks of Plated menus in advance so I don’t post the weekly menu or anything, but I like to show off what we made. Plated has made a few changes, including becoming a subscription “only” service, but you can turn off automatic delivery and still order exactly what you want (um, I’m just not down with random food!), so basically it’s still the same. Anyone who tells you otherwise has no idea what they’re talking about, because I order mine separately every week.
When you sign up for Plated with this link or use code b0c635, you’ll get 2 free plates with your first order. Sometimes I order a lot of Plated (in a couple weeks I think we’re getting 5 or 6 meals) and sometimes none (the week afterwards there’s nothing I’m interested in – too weird). We’ll probably get Hello Fresh that week – it’s a bit more accessible ingredient-wise. [Hello Fresh: Take $40 off your first box with coupon code 7UT7K8]
Tofu, Cashew, and Snow Pea Curry – I rarely order the vegetarian meals, because I’m a meat eater and I feel like I get more bang for my buck, but when there’s a lower carb or higher protein option, I go for it! This was delicious.
We made this on Saturday, so I actually cooked. That rarely happens anymore!
Strip Steak, Potato Tian, and Caramelized Brussels Sprouts – This was one of the new Chef’s Table meals.
Bacon Brittle! Plated offers dessert add-ons – it was fun!
We also added the Hello Dolly Bars – but there was so much extra condensed milk and we happend to have chocolate chips & coconut & graham cracker crumbs that needed to be used up, we tripled the recipe with our own stuff. It really only made a few small bars by itself (what’s pictured).
So that’s what we made with our box this week! You can use code b0c635 to sign up for Plated and get 2 free plates with your first order!
If you haven’t joined up, visit Plated to find or more or to subscribe! You can see all the meal subscription services & dinner kits in the directory plus all my Plated Reviews!
