Plated is a meal subscription service – you get the ingredients, menus, and cook everything yourself. We really enjoy Plated because it makes restaurant quality meals for us super easy! You can see multiple weeks of Plated menus in advance so I don’t post the weekly menu, but I like to show what we made. Plated has made a few changes, including becoming a subscription “only” service, but you can turn off automatic delivery and still order exactly what you want (um, I’m just not down with random food!), so basically it’s still the same. Anyone who tells you otherwise has no idea what they’re talking about, because I order mine separately every week.

When you sign up for Plated with this link or use code b0c635, you’ll get 2 free plates with your first order. Sometimes I order a lot of Plated (next week we’re getting 2 deliveries) and sometimes none (the week afterwards there’s nothing I’m interested in – too weird). We’ll probably get Hello Fresh that week – it’s a bit more accessible ingredient-wise. [Hello Fresh: Take $40 off your first box with coupon code 7UT7K8]. Right now check out this post for a RueLaLa deal on Plated plus a chance to win months of Plated meals.

Thai Peanut Chicken Curry with Sticky Rice – I have said this every week for the past couple weeks and THIS is the best Plated recipe we’ve ever had! The bean sprouts weren’t top notch and Plated gave me a $24 credit. We were still able to pull of miraculous dinner goodness.

You made the rice into a ball to get it stickyfied.

This was just phenomenal. The peanut and the spices – everything was perfect. I hope they bring this one back!

Meatloaf with Parmesan Roasted Broccoli – We ordered 2 sets of this!  The topping was a BBQ Meatloaf sauce, which was a bit different (I do a mustard/ketchup/brown sugar sauce).

We’ve been making this broccoli over & over again. You can tell from the top photo it was also a kid fave. He won’t stop plowing through broccoli now, it’s amazing.

Molten Chocolate Cakes – You can add on desserts to your boxes and I wanted to be sure to try out the cakes. They were fun & easy to make, and tasty!

I also tried the thai peanut curry with sticky rice. My boyfriend couldn’t stop raving about the meal! It was a hit! I really hope they offer this again or at least another curry on par with this one! I also tried the Vietnamese Caramel Fish with Vermicelli and Bok Choy, and it was pretty good. I tried plated a year ago and wasn’t as impressed but I feel like they are stepping up the meals and can’t wait to try more!
