Austin Lloyd is a premium toy subscription box for children under the age of 3.  Every month Austin Lloyd sends out toys that are selected for the play level of your child. Everything is BPA and phthalate free (and battery free as well!), and high end. You can get your Austin Lloyd box monthly or every other month, and I think if you are looking for a top-quality subscription Austin Lloyd is really an excellent solution for your young child.  With a six-month subscription the price goes down a tad to $45 per month.  Every box contains 4-5 toys including at least one book.

This packaging is personalized and unique and a great presentation.

Baby F turns 5 months old tomorrow, but I ordered the 6-12 months box so he would have time to grow into them. Plus, since I have 2 older kids I figured whatever he got would be more fun for them to play with him.

I was excited by so many fun things. The theme for February is Rhythm & Music

Music lightens the mood…and makes everyone feel more comfortable and relaxed. And when kids are comfortable, they’re more successful in everything they do. Whether you’re working on motor skills, language, or cognitive development, music is usually the way to a child’s heart!

Skip Hop Explore & More Click-Clack Hedgehog ($9.99) I was so excited to see this! I cannot remember where I saw it but when it came out I was all ooooh we need that, and I got it in this box!

Baby F adored it. Don’t stress, he’s not eating yet, but he’s kinda giant for 5 months old and likes to sit in the high chair and play and then my back doesn’t die.

Haba Clicker Clacker ($14.24) Baby F though this one was great, especially the nice big ring to gnaw on!

IMG_9349

Matisse Dance for Joy ($5.11) Every Austin Lloyd box has a book in it! I liked this one a terrible amount, even if I feel somewhat silly reading it, the bright contrasty illustrations are engaging for little ones.

Haba Happy Quartet ($14.24) These soft foam cubes all make a different sound and provide a different sensory experience on each cube. IMG_9395

He grabbed all of them at once! My kids told me excitedly when I got home today that the orange one was the BEST because you shake it up and down and it sounds like a bird.

Plan Toys Clapping Roller ($9.99) This one is really a floor toy and will be perfect when he starts sitting up so we can roll it toward him. It’s a cute and fun toy, and I hadn’t seen it before.

Kid-O Links Rattle ($11.22) F liked this one too, and the bold color pattern really got his attention. Nice, non-annoying clacking!

The total value of this box was $65, which is excellent for high end handmade no-battery toys. Everything was engaging and perfectly developmentally appropriate for my child’s developmental stage. Plus, I love that it has a theme.

Once you are done with the toys, Austin Lloyd will gladly send you a prepaid label to return them for donation if you choose. So easy to get rid of the clutter and helps take care of kids in need, or of course you can keep your toys, it’s just an option.

Visit Austin Lloyd to find out more or to subscribe. You can also check out all the monthly baby and toddler boxes in the subscription box directory.

Hi, thanks for the review, really helpful. I thought I’d ask though, would you say one of the best thing about these is the convenience of not having to research for baby stuff? I’m thinking of getting one as a gift for someone and I’m assuming it’s the ‘not having time to shop’ that’s most of the appeal.

Yes totally. Sometimes you just need to have new toys, books, etc. You *could* obsessively research everything, or just buy a subscription and not worry about it. The other benefit is that there’s usually a cost savings over the retail prices.

I may try this box in a month or two when Parker gets more into toys. We had bad luck with Citrus Lane. I’m hoping to find a box that send more age appropriate things for babies.

How old is she now?? F cannot keep away from toys but I think he plays with them more than the other 2 did.

She’s 5 months but she has some issues with hand coordination. She just now started trying to grab toys and she still can’t really get ahold of them most of the time. The stuff CL sent me is for 6 to 12 month olds (I’ll post my review with pictures later tonight probably haven’t gotten the chance yet). The only toy is for a 6 month old and hard and just to big for her hands since she’s small for her age. I’ll keep it for her but it will be months before she can use it.

That’s normal. Their movements are sooo herky jerky for such a long while. Trying to get it is “playing with it” at this stage!!
