For January we went to Brazil!!!IMG_8681

The information card has descriptions of all the snacks, plus they have translated ingredients on their site! There’s also a clue to next month’s box – which I’m pretty sure is Italy!IMG_8682

Everything in the box. Most everything is totally new. There were definitely things I didn’t quite expect, but Brazil is so multicultural, it made sense! My kids were absolutely wild over this box too!IMG_8684

Ouro Branco, Serenata de Amor, and Sonho de Valsa – These are all variations of the same candy. The Ouro Branco is a cashew cream covered in white chocolate, the others have chocolate outsides, but the Serenata de Amor has like a crispy center. Like a butterfinger, except cashew, and a lighter texture. IMG_8685

Bala Lua Cheia – Fruit chews in raspberry, orange, and cherry.

Bubbaloo Gum – This are gums with those squishy insides. I LOVE THOSE.IMG_8686

Bauducco Ginger Star – I don’t think I realized this is brazilian! It’s a soft gingerbread cookie (and really good!) covered with chocolate!IMG_8687

Pacoca Rolha – Crumbly peanut snack. This is like almost peanut butter candy (you know the kind they used to serve in the cafeteria??) but more crumbly – and super good! My kids chomped these right up!IMG_8688

Bananada Tradicional Cremosa – This is like the Brazilian granola bar, but it’s just bananas. I think they are pretty ubiquitous because I’ve received them in several boxes. Tasty!!IMG_8689

Amendoim Japones – I didn’t expect these at all, but the card notes that Brazil is home to the largest Japanese population outside Japan. I didn’t know!! If you’ve had these before they are peanuts coated with a crispy outer shell. These ones are unflavored and super yummy (I also enjoy the flavored kind). I need my kids to eat these before I polish this bag off!IMG_8690

Piraque Biscoito Pizza – Brazilians are nuts about pizza – these pizza-flavored crackers were SO good. I would buy these here!IMG_8691

Biscoito Polvilho Natural – buttery yucca puffs. I haven’t tried these ones yet (sooo many things open) but they look fun!!
IMG_8692

Pipoca Vovozinha – This is NOT what I expected (see below) – it’s Brazilian Sweet Popcorn and I have found that South American countries have a totally different popcorn style!IMG_8693

Someone needs to feed these to me all the time.

A picture of the wafery candy, the sweet popcorn, and the Japanese peanuts!

This was a yummy & fun box. I think for $25 a month it’s an excellent value (I didn’t do a breakdown though) and we had a great time tasting all the unique snacks!

I love Biscoito de Polvilho so good!! You got a good selection of goodies 🙂 I can guarantee to you all these products taste way better in Brazil specially the Sonho de Valsa.

I had cheese flavored crackers instead of the pizza ones, and wasn’t as impressed. But this box seems like one of the best deals out there, simply because you get so many interesting things in it! I haven’t managed to try everything in it yet, either (partly because my urthbox was also stuffed this month!).

Ohh man! Was yours the small or big box?? My card said they were sending pizza crackers instead of pizza. We all enjoyed them and the bag was really full. It seems like they dont do a bag full of air like we do!
