The December Little Lace Box Theme was “A Fresh New Start” and was the most “disconnected” (as they described) box they’ll have, because each of the 3 sisters that run this subscription each chose an item. Every item helps trigger something that makes them want to jump out of bed and do something extraordinary!

The metallic squigglies were so fun and festive!IMG_7587

This box included only 4 items – one for each of the sisters and a group item. Besides the soap they were all quite high retail value so this wasn’t surprising.

Little Lace Box Fresh Water Pearl Necklace ($48) This was created just for LLB by Susan Meier jewelry! Delicate and sweet, I love the little pyrite stones.

Stia Couture Fresh Water Pearl Bracelet ($35) Made of 14k gold filled wire and fresh water pearls, I love this bracelet because you can wear it on its own or stack it with the super popular Alex & Ani bangles (or the South Hill Designs ones – look for my LOVE giveaway soon featuring some of the bangles!!!).IMG_7590

Three Sisters Apothecary Soaps ($3.99) So sweet that they found an artisan soap maker to match! My scent was Gravenstein Apple Clove and alas, when you open boxes around family, items tend to get pilfered! This one went home with my aunt! Lucky duck.

Whitney English Mini Day Designer ($48.99) I love this UNDATED planner! I can pick it up and use it at any time and not get stressed if I miss a day! The information letter says that Brianna (one of the sisters and the one that I email) doesn’t like a cluttered desk. LOL here’s your heart attack for the year (I swear it’s not always like this). Obviously I need more organization everywhere!

I love this simple. focused planner. What a great inclusion in this box!

The December Little Lace Box had a total retail value of around $135. The box is $39.99 per month, and you can save $10 on your first box with code LLB10. Right now ONLY the yearly subscription is available – 12 months for $383.90 (which is $31.99 per month), plus you’ll get all the points as described at the bottom of this post.  I love how this box is totally different every time. I have appreciated each and every one of them. They aren’t formulaic at all and just a little bit bold – perfect for my new year!

A Sneak Peek At The January Little Lace Box

Dinin Car2

There was once a time when traveling by steamship, railroad (or Graf Zeppelin) was the preferred method of travel. And in those days, the dining car was much more than just a physical location where people met to eat a meal. It was an elegant event often attended by celebrities and dignitaries, and the service rivaled high-end restaurants. Just imagine elegant surroundings and amazing menus combined with exterior visuals that change constantly as you race down the tracks.

We chose The Dining Car for January to commemorate the beginning of the fifth season of Downton Abbey on PBS. If you haven’t become hooked on Downton Abbey yet, you haven’t experienced great television. Smartly written, witty and authentic, Downton Abbey transports us back to the early 20th century. It’s there where we find beautiful ladies dressed in magnificent gowns with white gloves, and dapper gentlemen who knew to rise whenever a woman entered a room or upon her departure. It’s also there where we will find the curation for the January Little Lace Box.

The Dining Car is all about vintage and beauty and you.  This box will include hidden gems for you AND your home

How Little Lace Box Works & the Point System
Little Lace Box is like Popsugar Must Have Box in that you’ll be getting a mix of items from all different categories – it’s a lifestyle subscription box for women. And it’s like Birchbox because they have POINTS! You will receive 200 points for opening up an account, one LLB point for each dollar spent in the boutique, and you also receive 150 LLB points for reviewing your product after you receive it. For every 50 points you accumulate, you get one LLB reward dollar to spend in the shop. So if you open up an account and get a one year subscription ($383.90) you’ll have earned 584 points – that’s $11 in the shop. PLUS you get another 150 for every item you review, plus your review of the box. So for October you could rack up another 150 points – that’s $18 in store credit!!! On every box! You will even get a reminder email 5 days after the box ships reminding you to review.

This wasn’t my favorite box at all, I don’t like gold jewelry and the bangle wouldn’t slide over my wrist. So I swapped both the jewelry items and kept the planner and soap that actually smelled really awesome. The planner bugs me because it’s not dated, I’m not always positive what day it is. lol I like my calendar to tell me; I work at home, so my days blend together a lot.

hahah no i think the planner is FAB! it’s like the same concept as having a big mess. once i stop using it i’m like oh well. i could keep this one for YEARS until i used it up!! the jewelry is really pretty even though it wouldn’t be an all the time thing for me.

Such a cute box and I’m kindof loving that planner. I get a little flustered when I miss a day and then before I know it I’ve missed lots of days but this would maybe help since I could just start right back up and not feel like I have to go back and fill in.
