We are loving our Kidstir creations! January’s theme is Soup’s On! That’s perfect for these cold winter months. Kidstir is a super cute kids monthly cooking subscription box! You’ll get a fun themed cooking kit sent to your door every month. Every box includes 3 recipes and accessories for each – 2 kid-sized tools and a specialty ingredient. On an annual plan, your first box comes with a great recipe binder to store all the recipes in so you can revisit your favorites (see it in this post). You also get 3 educational foodie pages, 3 fun games and activities, and more (like digital recipes, downloadables, and videos!).

DEAL: Save 20% off on the first month of your subscription! Just use this link and coupon code AFHELLO20!

On the back of the theme information card is the shopping list (you also get it in your shipping notice email). You can check off what you have in your pantry and then pick up the rest at the store.

Everything in the box! Every box has 2 kids’ kitchen tools and an ingredient.IMG_8294

Oodles of Noodles. I love these fun chopsticks, but for my kids I won’t be making this with tofu or mushrooms. They won’t eat it (and honestly, I wouldn’t either). Not my thing. They adore ramen so veggies will be included – just not mushrooms! The recipe will be in their book for when they are more adventurous!IMG_8295

Pizza Soup. This looks fun and I will put them to work chopping that onion for sure. They love tomato based soups and I think this one will be a winner.IMG_8296

I liked the topping ideas. I feel like kids listen to outsiders more than their parents.IMG_8297

cheesy broccoli bowls. this looks scrumptious!  I love how this is a whole foods recipe instead of doing velveeta or something like that, but it is a little more complicated. This is a good opportunity for kitchen helpers to watch how to make a roux!

This box is so fun and to be honest, I am terrible at assigning jobs in the kitchen unless we are doing a specific kid-cooking activity. I think this box is so super cute. Soup is my favorite food (besides burgers and fries, which is better, but only marginally so). So I’m super happy about this one!
