Gluten-free or not, November Taste Guru was amazing!!!  Taste Guru is a gluten-free subscription box and I was particularly impressed with this box. Earlier this year they had some troubles but the subscription is under new management and their careful attention to detail, curation, and value really shone through in this one.

I couldn’t believe how packed this box was!IMG_7610

This is a bonus item for new subscribers.IMG_7609

PIk-Nik Shoestring Potatoes in Sea Salt and Vinegar ($3) I have two words: Potato. Sticks. These are a childhood treat – used to take them to the beach. They’re pretty much awesome in a can. Loved them.

Namaste Foods Hot ‘n Spicy Coating Mix ($3.19) I have yet to try this but I think it’s going to be good. It’s made with flax meal and should be tasty. I love using mixes like this.IMG_7607

Vivian’s Tomato Soup ($1.25) Well I’m the kind of person who doesn’t like dairy in her tomatoes all that much so I would already expect tomato soup to be vegan, gluten free, and dairy free – but really most of them do not fit that bill. I tucked this away for my office.IMG_7606

The Bacon Jams Bacon Spread in Original Flavor ($15) OMG WOW. It’s SO so so good and awesome on a burger. YES.IMG_7605

Baobab Drink Mix in Meyer Lemon and Peach Mango ($3.42) It’s the Baobest!IMG_7604

Flyjoy Energy Bar in Coconut Almond ($2.10) Made with Superfood Ingredients: Quinoa + Oats + Flax + Chia. I haven’t tried it yet but it has good reviews.

Fusion Jerky Artisan Chicken Jerky in Lemon Pepper ($2.15) I’m sorry, I cannot bring myself to eat chicken jerky 🙁 It skeeves me out, but I hear this one is DELISH.IMG_7603

Justin’s Nut Butter in Classic Peanut Butter and Chocolate Hazelnut Butter – yum yum – these are smaller packets than I’m used to but given the rest of the box, no big deal. Better for me anyways, this stuff is dangerously good.

I came up with over $30 for the value of this box (not counting the nut butter, because I’m really tired, it’s probably around $32 total). I thought this was fabulous and really showed a great turnaround by Taste Guru. I recommend for gluten free folks or anyone who enjoys discovering different foods.
