Lindy is SO excited for her October PetBox! PetBox is a subscription box for dogs and/or cats. You can select your own awesome items for your pet each month or opt to be surprised.   When you sign up for PetBox you pick whether you have dogs, cats, or both, and their size. You can choose your items using a point systems or have PetBox choose your items. My box is a review surprise box for my dog Lindy, a 14 lb miniature schnauzer, but review boxes mostly just show you what’s new at Petbox for the month, they aren’t necessarily customized for my dog.

We get a premium surprise box for review. Woof.f28177024

Treat Simple Peanut Butter and Banana Treats ($8) These crunchy bones are great for small dogs or for a training treat for any dogs. 99% of dogs love peanut butter so chances are yours will dig these. Get it. They’re bones? Sorry.IMG_6077

Smart N’ Tasty Tuna Grain Free Dog Treats ($6) I feel like Lindy has had these before. She loves fish flavored things and I love anything that is crunchy enough to clean her teeth. These are grain free and made in the US!

Old Mother Hubbard Soft Bakes ($5) These aren’t quite as soft as the soft bakes for humans (yum, but don’t feed them to your dog).  Lindy likes this brand too and this was a new treat for her (I think they are brand new!).

Natural Balance Dog Food Lindy loves this brand and finds it palatable and the right shape! Natural Balance is a great formula for dogs with protein allergies!f28138560

CMR Joint Health Formula Tablets ($?) The website for the manufacturer is not online, and I can’t find these anywhere. They are a closeout item (many box items are) but I’d probably feel better about giving them to my dog if the company was still operating.IMG_6079

Hatchables Dog Toy ($12.99) IMG_6078

I don’t know if my dog is dextrous enough to hatch this turtle but my kids had fun with it! I don’t think I would have picked this toy necessarily but you can customize your box, which is totally awesome.

This wasn’t my favorite PetBox because of the joint tablets, so I just recommend skipping them when you customize your box!

As with most of the pet subscription boxes, the best value for this box is a longer subscription.  PetBox is $39.95 per month, down to $29 per month, but you can save 20% on any subscription plan with code SPLURGE20.  PetBox offers four different sizes of boxes, plus their 3 month and annual plans are billed monthly!

Try putting some treats inside the hatchables egg and see if your dog can get them out! That’s how I taught mine to “hatch” the toy!

My box was also crap! II also got the pigs ear, a can of dog food that will get thrown out, seafood treats that both jack russells left on the floor and a toy snake that does not squeak. I have had it with this company and am going back to Bark Box!

My box was crap. I got the premium dog box and received:
    1. It’s Purely Natural Jerky Bone Shaped Treats
    2. Aussie Ear
    3. A small sample bag of dog food
    4. Small plush duck toy that already has the polyfill spilling out (couldn’t find this on the site currently)

I only got 4 things worth 360 points, not even the 400 they tout. I’m not counting a sample bag of dog food.

This is supposedly worth $19?? HELL NO I’m never subscribing for this again. Beware to others out there who are curious about PetBox.
