Summer 2014 Fortune Cookie Soap Subscription Box Review

The Fortune Cookie Soap Box is a quarterly subscription box from bath & body goods producer Fortune Cookie Soaps. It’s $19.99 per quarter and comes with a bunch of mini size products plus a $10 coupon to their store. Every box is themed around their quarterly product launch and the subscription ships about 2 weeks prior to that so you can try out everything before deciding what to order. When you visit FCS you’ll get a popup for $5 off a $30 order, but I don’t think it works on the subscription.

Summer Box Review

The theme for this quarter is “Candy Aisle.” My information card photo is terrible 🙁

The box is actually pretty small but these are handmade soap/body products plus you get a $10 code to the store for the new product launch. FYI, although these boxes look like they would be great for children, some of the products in both this box and the last box had sorta racy names. I personally wouldn’t complain about it or anything like that, but I think they would get more business if they kept it… clean HAHAHAHA. I’m sorry, I couldn’t not.

Oh yeah, there was a dum-dum pop and a surprisingly soft dubble bubble in the box!! I’ve never had such a soft one and it makes me want to eat them all the time!

Lick Your Lips Fortune Cookie Soap – Peppermint Ice cream. This is actually not a favorite smell of mine (the cream with the mint isn’t something I enjoy). But my children absolutely adore these cute soaps. Lots of handwashing!

Lollipop Your Cherry Hand Sanitizer – Cherries with vanilla and a hint of orange and pineapple. This is an unusual scent for a hand sanitizer and I liked it!

Rock Your Socks Off Solid Sugar Scrub and  Sweet Dreamsicle Wax Tart – I love the idea of a solid sugar scrub, because sometimes I get the willies about putting my hands into a tub of grit. All my scentsys are full right now but I’m looking forward to the dreamsicle, it’s pineapple and I love pineapple scents. (I even made caramelized pineapple for dinner! YUM)

Blow Me Lip Scrub – (Karen you are totally right this is fabulous!) I love this no-oil scrub. Maybe it has a teeny bit soaked in? I’m not sure but it’s all scrub! I’ve never used one like this and I really like it!

Lemon Drop it like it’s Hot Microdermabrasion Facial Scrub – Wow, I totally love this! Very very fine microdermabrasion ummmm stuff in it. and a fantastic citrus smell. I would prefer this be in a jar so I could get every last bit!

Captain’s Berried Booty Whipped Cream – I’m not sure what it is about the creams but the scent of this one turns me off in the jar. I think it’s a pregnancy thing, everyone else says it smells fantastic! That’s ok, my kids love the little jars of body butter. 

The Sweet Spot Sparkle Me – You know what, I’m like 12, because I love being sparkly. I can get away with it when I sparkle my daughter too. And she adores being sparkly. Scent – melon, strawberries, and peaches with sour mandarin oranges and pineapple!

This box was a hit for me. I’m wasn’t sure if I will use my $10 coupon again or not – I spent $8.59 last time on a cuticle butter and a hand sanitizer – but I think I will probably spring for more of the face scrub!
