I just got my first New Beauty TestTube and I was excited to get that one, because I so very much coveted the products inside! The September New Beauty Test Tube has a whole new look and feel and of course an entirely different set of products. The Tube itself comes inside a box packed with extra products and bonus items, along with a huge glossy magazine style brochure with detailed information about each product inside the tube. Subscriptions to New Beauty TestTube also come with a magazine subscription – New Beauty Magazine!

September 2013 New Beauty TestTube New Tube!

The box is wrapped up very nicely! I like the presentation of this box. No I love it.

I was excited to see the new tube! What a great new design! This box wasn’t nearly as heavy as the last – curious to see everything! I picked the bonus samples to examine first

Beauty to Go

Nip Fab No Needle Fix I had this in my last New Beauty TestTube and I really liked the thick water based gel.

Lumene Vitamin C+ BB Illuminating Cream This will be fun to try! I’ll put it in the travel stack for my upcoming trip. I’m determined to use all my foundation samples then!

Nip + Fab Viper Venom Wrinkle Fix Also a nice thick gel, it made my face feel so soft and airbrushed. I don’t know why I wasted this sample when I’m not going anywhere today. It’s ok to feel pretty for yourself.

dr. brandt+ microdermabrasion exfoliating face cream ($9.75) I got excited about this because of my favorite ceramidin liquid/cream and then realized it wasn’t my favorite Dr. Jart+. I get confused between the two. Nevertheless, I’m sure this is great. It’s a 2012 Allure Best of Beauty Award Winner! It has a slightly different name but I’m 99% sure it’s the same thing.

The Brush!

it Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Powder Brush ($48) I picked the brush to look at next. I could tell it was a brush because the box said so! This is a cruelty-free synthetic brush with a huge handle, and it is great! My powder brush’s handle is broken off and I was so thrilled to have a new one. It is a very full brush and I was impressed with it. The box also came with an it Cosmetics catalog that I did not photograph.

The Tube!

Isn’t the new tube great? You can take it apart and use it for 2 different things.

A New Beauty TestTube review is not complete without the dumping out of the canister shot.

Info Magazine I love this magazine. New Beauty TestTube is designed for you to try the products over two months and of course you’ll want to know a bit more about them over that time.

BioSilk Silk Therapy ($7.25) This is an extremely lightweight serum that can be used wet or dry and actually worked for my hair. I was thrilled.I have extraordinarily fine hair and most products don’t work. I also had good results with the shampoo & conditioner from last Tube.

It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In plus Keratin ($8) I’ll try it, as always, but last’s month’s lightweight version (same brand) was a bit too heavy for my hair. Doesn’t mean it won’t work for you, but it does seem duplicative

Mally Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner – Ice Blue ($11.25) I loved the Mally liner in a recent Birchbox, so I was happy to see this, even though it’s a funny color. It didn’t glide like the other Mally pencil did, the book says to put on shadow first, so I’ll have to try again.

Amore Pacific Color Control Cushion Compact – Tan Blush SPF 50+! I have this exact same product sitting on my makeup chest (ever seen it? go here), I think from a Glossybox. I’d better get to them!

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer ($18) This is SUPER velvety and maybe the best primer I’ve ever tried? This is half a full size container too! They have autodelivery, of course!

La Roche-Posay Mela-D Deep Cleansing Brigtening Foaming Cream ($3) I am super duper excited about this one. I use Mela-D (though not as consistently as I should) for hyperpigmentation. This is an LHA cleanser and I am crossing my fingers it shows up in a Sample Society box so I can get a big discount on it at Beauty Bar (where I purchased my serum). I will probably purchase this!

Totally ignore the prices in the brochure – they were way off in some instances! But the value of the September New Beauty TestTube was over $105, not including the sample packets I didn’t calculate. I thought that was really awesome. And I have to be honest, when I first poured out the tube, I really was like – where’s my stuff? Because I think the last tube had more in it. But this is super high value and with the exception of the leave-in product (will use on my son!) I will use everything. I know I can make that eyeliner work and it’s going to be a fun snazzy color. I’m thinking upscale punk for Halloween!Thank you so much for reading through this super long review! I think this box is worth it, absolutely! You will be able to order this tube (Beauty to Go samples may differ, but the items in the tube should be the same) through the end of October. If you are new, please email me at [email protected] and I’ll send you an invite for $5 off. New Beauty TestTube is definitely one of my favorite boxes! I’m already sad that I won’t be getting another one next month (because it’s bimonthly, I’m definitely keeping this subscription!).Also, I have word that some people got a solid perfume sample from Pacifica instead of the Brandt+!

I have read that white pencils with a hint of blue make the whites of your eyes look, well, whiter. Kinda’ like red lipsticks that are more red-blue than red-orange make your teeth look whiter.
