Even though we just opened up the prior month, we were super excited to also open the May Citrus Lane box.  We actually opened these Citrus Lane boxes right after the other. I’m behind, for sure. I just had a stack of boxes that languished from our vacation and my travel last month. Whoops!  Fortunately it seems like I am making awesome headway getting these posted!

My kids love Citrus Lane so so much. It’s ridiculous. I spent some time on the April review on stuff that we loved about Citrus Lane, so go read the April Citrus Lane review too!

If you don’t already know, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box of toys, books, personal care, food, feeding accessories and other items for children aged birth to 5 years. Get $10 off your first box using my link to subscribe to Citrus Lane! That doesn’t show up until you check out. Don’t worry about a coupon code, it will be in your checkout. Try using Citrus Lane coupon code TAKEHALF to save half off your first box.

When I opened this box I was surprised to see that it was so full and there was another box inside peeking out from the tissue!

What’s inside the May Citrus Lane box?

Citrus Lane always an excellent information card with complete information AND discounts. Sorry for the shadow.  You can click on the information card to see the entire thing.

We All Go Traveling ByBarefoot Books book with CD. $10. I LOVE Barefoot Books. They have a retail store in Concord, MA, which I have been to! Barefoot Books are art and music and diversity centric.  They are just wonderful wonderful books. Our book was bent up which was disappointing, but hopefully that will disappear with use. My son loved looking at the pictures and saying his colors and “round round round.” He’s slow on talking so I always appreciate anything that gets him to use some words!

Happy Baby Happy Munchies – veggie & fruit crisps in banana, beet, & blueberrry. About $3.50. And some nice coupons. My children love freeze-dried fruits. I thought this was a nice change from the typical fruit/veggie pouch! It’s organic & contains superfoods!

Deep Steep Lavender & Chamomile moisturizer stick. $5.95. Use code citruslane20 for 20% off at deepsteep.com. This is a brand that I got twice this month. I wish I got another scent, but only because I also got the body wash in this same scent.  Deep Steep is guaranteed free from chemical preservatives, parabens, artificial fragrances, petroleum, mineral oil, and sodium lauryl sulfate, so you should want to get this twice! It smells really good and I love solid moisturizers. But I want brown sugar vanilla. Guess I’ll have to use the code!

This stick is fantastic for travel because it doesn’t have to go in my quart size bag! This was a nice mom present two months in a row from Citrus Lane.  And to be honest, both May and April’s mom’s special somethings are equally good for kids and moms. Which is great!

It looks to me like Citrus Lane is perhaps moving away from the mom-specific item, which is OK with me. I get this box for my kids, not me.

Green Toys Sandwich Shop – This toy is about $13 and comprises half the value of the box. Like most Citrus Lane finds MOMMY WE NEED TO OPEN THIS RIGHT NOW.  I was thrilled to find two stacks of sandwich items so each child could tear one out of my hands and not away from each other. They loved it and made sandwiches for about half an hour.

Should you splurge?

This month’s Citrus Lane box was a very high value subscription box with a value of almost $35.  Not only did I get items that I absolutely loved and my kids loved, it was a great discount! Even though there were only four items this box was really really super. My kids are SO WILD over Citrus Lane stuff (and it doesn’t seem to matter that I get my box for my youngest – my daughter loves to play with everything too).  I really would love to know more about how Citrus Lane selects everything.  It’s obviously one of the best curated boxes out there. I think for my children it’s better than going into a toy store.

If you would like to sign up for Citrus Lane and save $10 on your first box, you can do so using my link. Thank you!

What did you think of this month’s box?
